Sales might also be down because they keep making most of the games backward compatible all the way back to XBox One (2013). I still meet people online playing on their day one XBox One's, why buy a new console. Also a side complaint those are the same people slowing down all the load-in times for online games because we all need to wait for them
@Blofse I have the same problem, older Forza's I would play way more. I find that all the cars kind of have the same handling feel, by which I mean that they all feel like they're 15 thousand pounds and clunky. Hard to pinpoint the lack of enthusiasm to it though.
@AccessibleDaydream I've been ringing that bell for years. On May 7 2020 Aaron Greenberg tweeted "60fps will be the standard output, but the architecture allows us to support up to 120fps." And just 4 days later added "Developers always have flexibility in how they use the power, so a standard or common 60fps is not a mandate." Now 4 years later here we are, still stuck with 2 feet in the mud.
These aren't new additions when they've already been in every other Forza Motorsport. Every time they make a new game they take most of the tracks away and give them back slowly one at a time and want you to think it's new content.
There isn't a whole lot of point to making impressive hardware when there's no impressive software to go along with it. Everything will be cross-platform for so many years developers won't have time to optimize only for the most powerful console, kind of like now. Reminds me of how the Series X had no games at launch that gave a "Wow that looks and plays so great" moments. No new Halo, Gears, Forza Motorsport. And they sure disappointed on the "all new games will be targeting 60 fps as a standard". I'm not keeping my hopes up for anything mind blowing, currently it's all just sales people selling an idea.
It is one third of an older game that they ruined what made it fun and are charging full price. Must not be hard to be a Ubisoft executive with decision making skills like that.
I wish they would stop calling them "New Tracks", they were in the previous game and should have come with this one at launch. New tracks are new to the series, not ones we used to have before that they re-give us. There's lots of great race tracks out there that could be added. (Also wouldn't mind some of the older made up tracks from FM3 or FM4 be added back in like they did with Maple Valley)
I've played through 3, 4 and 5 multiple times. Six was the only one I never finished because it had those frustrating instant spawning enemies and felt like a second job trying to play it. Hopefully "big things" means its going to be fun again.
So it's still running on the bad/cartoony/stoner graphics that look like Black Ops. I'll take additional content, or even the content that was removed, for MW2019 any day instead.
I really hope this is true, best AC game since the first one. It only ran at 900p and 30 FPS. Would really like this to feel a little more modern for replay-ability.
Campaign was way more fun to play and where I was looking for detail that I could take my time to enjoy and admire. Not in multiplayer where I would like consistent frame rate and is too fast paced to notice much of anything outside of the action.
Just make something, anything, just any new content for the new consoles that actually is complete on day one. Then actually release it when you say your going to release it.
Black box and the 2005 NFS Most Wanted were the height of NFS gameplay for me. EA is behind it so you know it will; be filled with microtransactions. Play for 300 hours to unlock this car or just give us $29.99 and it's unlocked now
Buying games digitally means there's no point in pre-ordering. Back in the physical release only days pre-orders made sense because if you pre-ordered the game would be $10 cheaper than after release and each store usually had limited copies.
As long as the one I get to play for 2 years is an Infinity Ward CoD it should be fine. If it was Black Ops or anything else I would be disappointed but would keep playing MW2019
