We know how amazing Microsoft Rewards is, but did you know that if you live in a certain region and you have access to all the MS Rewards benefits currently available, you can make over 20,000 Microsoft Rewards per-month?
That's the equivalent of almost £20 / $20 worth of free Xbox credit every single month!
In this Microsoft Rewards guide, we're going to break down how you can earn 20,000 points per-month with the help of Xbox, but keep in mind that certain offers are only available in specific regions and to specific users, so while we're able to take advantage here at Pure Xbox, you unfortunately might not be able to.
So, if you want to know how to get Microsoft Rewards points fast, follow these tips and you'll be all set.
Daily Tasks
Kicking off our Microsoft Rewards guide, here are some examples of daily tasks:
Bing Searches
Every day, once you've achieved Level 2 status, you can use Microsoft Bing to earn 90 points via PC searches, 60 points via mobile searches, and an extra 12 points for using the Microsoft Edge browser for some of these searches.
- Bing Searches = nearly 5000 points per-month
Daily Set
Every day, if you log into the Microsoft Rewards dashboard on a browser or the Microsoft Bing app on Xbox, you can complete a daily set worth at least 30 points per-day, and you'll get bonuses for doing this daily as well.
- Daily Set = over 1000 points per-month
Daily Achievement
If you complete an achievement in any Xbox or PC Game Pass game, you can claim an extra 50 points per-day. Yes, this might become a challenge over time, but it's a great excuse to try some games you wouldn't normally play. Once you've completed an achievement, go to the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox to redeem your 50 points.
- Daily Achievement = 1500ish points per-month
MSN Shopping Quizzes
The MSN Shopping website is currently allowing you to complete daily quizzes with a maximum of 100 points on offer per-day. There are a few caveats involved with this, such as the fact that the system sometimes has a few issues and you actually need to get all the answers right, but the potential is there for thousands of points per-month.
- MSN Shopping Quizzes = Up to 3000ish points per-month
Xbox App Bonuses (Certain Users)
If you're lucky enough to have been selected for the Microsoft Rewards trial on the Xbox App on mobile, you can do a few things to get Microsoft Rewards points fast on a daily basis. Go onto the app, click your profile image in the bottom corner, and then you'll see what's on offer.
The key thing here is that if you complete all the tasks regularly, which include playing a PC game and playing a PC game "with friends" (which just means playing with anyone online), you'll be able to earn over 300 points per-day via this method, so it's definitely worth trying if you haven't explored the option yet.
- Xbox App Bonuses = over 9000 points per-month
Weekly Tasks
Next in our Microsoft Rewards guide, here are the weekly tasks you can do to earn points:
Weekly Set
Just like the daily set, you can complete a weekly set with Microsoft Rewards - but this is done via the Microsoft Rewards app on your Xbox console. It involves completing three simple tasks per-week, and once again you can rack up bonuses over time where you're gifted thousands of points for getting a streak going.
- Weekly Set = at least 400 points per-month
Extras (Xbox Dashboard)
Another compliment to the daily sets is that you can complete extra little tasks on the Microsoft Rewards dashboard such as clicking links and completing quizzes. The quantity of these changes over time, but you're looking at quite a few of them showing up every week. Keep an eye on that dashboard to see what new offers crop up.
- Extras = around 600 points per-month
Weekly Treasure
If you're booting up your Xbox around once per-day, keep an eye on the Microsoft Rewards app as at some point every week, a "Weekly Treasure" option appears on there for 100 points, and all you need to do is click it before it leaves.
- Weekly Treasure = 400 points per-month
Monthly Tasks
Finally, here are the monthly tasks you can complete with Microsoft Rewards:
Monthly Bonus Round
At the start of every month, Microsoft Rewards gives Xbox owners the chance to complete a Monthly Bonus Round punch card, which requires completing some fairly basic tasks for a chance to acquire 2000+ MS Rewards points.
- Monthly Bonus Round = 2000 or more points per-month
Monthly Punch Cards
You'll see a monthly punch card available for around 500 points near the start of the month on Xbox, and this usually involves just completing one achievement across a selection of games, but you also might find extra punch cards made available at random times, including some exclusive to the Microsoft Rewards dashboard on browsers.
- Monthly Punch Cards = at least 500 points per-month
Xbox Game Pass Quests
Every month, you can complete a variety of Xbox-specific challenges called Xbox Game Pass Quests, which we provide a guide for here at Pure Xbox every single week. You're looking at an extra 1500+ Microsoft Rewards points per-month by doing this, and the key thing is that they're generally very enjoyable to complete!
There are also daily and weekly Quests, so look out for those as well.
- Monthly Punch Cards = over 1500 points per-month
If you follow our Microsoft Rewards guide, you'll be making at least 20,000 points per-month.
The only downside is that, as we said before, some of these offers aren't available to certain Xbox users for a variety of reasons, and therefore your ability to earn 20k points might be limited. In any case though, if you live in a region that supports Microsoft Rewards, you should at least be able to make multiple thousands every month.
Hopefully this has been useful for you, but feel free to leave questions in the comments below!

I’ve been using my points from rewards to pay for game pass since august of last year. I have it till December of this year already. You get a points break if you do 3 months. If you game everyday and check game pass quests and the rewards app it’s relatively easy. I also buy some games or utilize sales to get the big point drops. I really enjoy it because it incentivizes much game time and has me try new games.
If you are lucky enough to be in a region with this you need to use it. Last year I got $140 worth of stuff and I've already redeemed 9 months of GPU this year.
This only works in US and UK.
Doesnt work in my region (europe)
This is a great guide! I didn't realize you could get up to 20k a month (pending on your region). I've got some work to do! Thanks for sharing.
Yeah in Europe we can rack up 8000 points at most i think , not complaining though it takes little effort , and already claimed over 100€ of store credit the last 2 years I guess
Every 10 weeks if you constantly hit the weekly card you get 2.5k bonus which is nice
In my region I get around 5000 points monthly, except when there is the 10 week bonus of 2500 points.
Rewards are definitely the unsung hero on Xbox. I really wish PlayStation would adopt a similar scheme.
@Bleachedsmiles Yeah even Nintendo has one with their gold coins. I don’t get the same value out of it because it’s based on purchases only but it’s always nice buying a game using existing coin.
The Microsoft Rewards Points app is not available for Android is it?
I do quite well out of rewards points already. Got nearly 130k stacked up. I've not been selected for the Xbox app ones though
I don't get to 20k/month but I've been doing okay out of them, maybe averaging 15/month . My best tip, that I'm sure is well known, is the daily bing searches can all be done on mobile if you switch to desktop view (using Microsoft edge that is).
Don't get anywhere near 20,000+, but I get enough at least 10-15k. Already bought 3+ years of Game Pass Ultimate and have around 215,000 points saved hopefully for a 1TB expansion drive, or around 50% off a 2TB one. (Hoping for a bigger discount around xmas/black Friday) Else I will just use it to stack Game Pass Ultimate for another couple of years.
Since I got my series console in 2020 I've earned 300,000+ rewards points. Having this console and using rewards is definitely going to have paid for itself by the generation's end.
I need to find a good game to play that can get the "Play on PC with friends" reward more often. Something like a super quick online chess game where I'd lose in a few moves every time
There's also the Game Pass reward quests too that can earn you a fair chunk, but you need to play a bunch of different games and do challenges. So you need the time and inclination to switch between a bunch of games all the time.
@PhileasFragg I use Quake! Sometimes it just doesn't want to register properly though, it can take a long time on certain days. You've also got to make sure you're matching up with at least one Xbox player rather than just PC players.
I’ve racked up 33,400 points in 40 days! GP has been paid for two months. And the off cuts will be saved for games and hopefully some form of hardware. The amount of money I’m saving is huuuuuge. Thanks MS!!!
You can also do quests on game pass they release new quests on Tuesday. If you need help achieving these quests i would recommend ChickenPossible on youtube he puts out great guides every week on the easiest route to completion.
Don't get me wrong, I know this represents good value for a lot of people, but.... I just don't have the time to become such a slave to MS and their tasks every day, week or month. Some of them are designed to stack up, and if you miss a day you're back to square one too.
@Eriggs1215 Of course you can! Not sure how I forgot to include Xbox Game Pass Quests considering we cover them every week 🤦♂️

Literally just joined Game Pass Ultimate today for the first time (that three months for $1 offer was too good to pass up) and have been enjoying the little metagame with these quests. So this guide is actually useful for me.
I was worried being on PC would lock me out of a lot of these, since the wording specified "cloud gaming or download to console," but I downloaded a PC version of one of these and completed the GP reward just fine.
@Ralizah you should have stocked up your live to 3 yrs. Too late now, but when your 3 months runs out. Don't renew, let it run out. Then stock up your live, and then there will be a conversion charge. Can be as little as 1 pound or the equivelant of 1 month ultimate, 10.99 in UK. in 5 years i have paid 13.99 plus 5 years of gold from cdkeys at 37 a pop.
Food for thought guys.
@GarbonZoni Stocking up for a service I'm not even sure will be worth investing in long term doesn't seem advisable.
Anyway, it's possible I'll earn enough rewards points each month to just renew the service for free if I end up liking it. My plan, once GPU is up, is to use my points to sub to PC GamePass. No reason to pay for the more expensive option when I don't even own a modern Xbox.
Yeah mate i get you. It's more for people who are more invested, It's a no brainer if you get gold every year though. Good thing is having 3 years worth for price of 1 and a quid, all those reward points just go straight back into games i wanna own. I've made 200 quid in vouchers over last few years .
How to make 20000 points per month with Xbox :
Step 1: move to the US
Some punch cards that offer 500 points require an in-game purchase costing £7.99 e.g. Rogue Company x The Walking Dead - but this is not cost effective just to earn 500 points, and I would be surprised if players did this. Why? Does anyone know a (legal) way around this that does not involve real money?
@Stoned_Patrol You can just download the Edge app or Bing app and do most of the rewards there.
@2errishumannotAI There's not a way around it - I don't think they're really intended to be cost effective, they just exist to add an extra incentive for people who play those games.
Does anyone know how long you can keep reward points for?
There are 2 other ways to earn Rewards points every day - the Microsoft Fitness Challenges (play 2 videos and earn 20 points for each one); and on the Shopping page where you guess the correct lowest cost of an advertised item and do this 10 times at 10 points per correct guess. There is a way of doing this without guessing - see chickenpossible/rewards hunter on youtube. Anyone know the least number of Rewards points I would need to purchase an X Box Series X console (£450) from Microsoft Store using rewards points only? Can I redeem all saved points in one go? [I have about 350,000 points]. To answer Snake-V5: I believe you can keep the points indefinitely as long as they are not redeemed for a X Box voucher.
