Still have my PS4 copy but wanted to play it on the Xbox Ally X handheld. Got tired of waiting for Xbox to add it to game pass so I bought it on the Steam discount 🤷🏻‍♂️
Plays well on the handheld though, had some stuttering but adjusted a few graphical settings and it runs smooth as butter now.
More E-day news sounds great! Fable has more of my attention lately though. Still hoping we see more of State of Decay 3. Been a while since we had a good Zombie game. Back4Blood was the last one that really got my attention. And a look at Marvel’s Blade would be nice too.
Getting a bit tired of the MW series to be honest. 2019 was a great comeback but I burned out with MW2 2022 and didn’t bother with MW3. Not sure what you’ll be able to innovate besides some quality of life updates. I’d much rather see an Infinite Warfare 2. More room to innovate there.
They also announced Copilot coming to current gen consoles too. Even though MS said there’s no directives for pushing AI. To what extent that all means is unclear. But if nobody really uses said feature I guess eventually it’ll be dead in the water.
Copilot aside, these new updates are good. I suppose the “Everything is an Xbox” strategy limited how and what features they work on for the consoles? Not sure about that.
Haven’t finished the main story of the base game yet or played Shattered Space. I enjoyed what I played but it didn’t have that same charm as the Fallout games. My biggest issue was how ambitious they called it to be but I felt it fell short of that, especially in regards to many lifeless planets. And sure you can argue the “space is empty” logic all you want but a video game needs a certain amount of content to keep the players attention. I had fun navigating the planets actually full of life though. It’s not as bad as people say, it’s a 7-8/10 for me.
I did really appreciate all the quality of life improvements since launch so I’ll check it out for that.
Also the gam runs quite well on my Xbox Ally X on medium to high settings (720p I think). Last I checked I was getting around 70-90 FPS in areas like Cydonia.
I’m liking a lot of the quality of life updates we’re hearing about with Xbox for the past few days. It just makes me wonder why this couldn’t be achieved with the past leadership? Don’t want to speculate too much but maybe the Spencer and Bond had creative differences over the direction Xbox should go? I always figured Spencer, Bond and Booty all worked as a collective to push their Xbox vision forward. Maybe my ignorance is speaking here.
Either way, I’d be curious to know how much of these new changes are Sharma’s decisions or Matt Booty’s.
More spotlight on the titles that matter in the Microsoft store is always good. Love to see ID@Xbox succeed.
I really don’t care about better raytracing and more immersive worlds. You achieved it on the current gen but I don’t care about seeing a slightly shinier reflection, slightly better skin and slight better shadows. All for what, bigger budgets, higher game prices and or game pass prices and more layoffs if there games don’t meet your internal standard? Just make a game that has good gameplay , good story, respects my time and my wallet. This gen had a lot of potential, some of it lived up to, some not. If you kept all the same features and just made optimization and development easer at the same price as a series x, that’d be fine.
I get it. You have to justify reasoning for a new console. But with the way things are going. I don’t see any reason to upgrade.
“I’m terrified for Xbox’s future” would be an understatement right now. Despite how the brand ebbed and flowed l over the past decade and cleaning up the scraps that Don Mattrick left behind, I still felt some sense of security under Phil’s tenure. This new lady doesn’t seem to have a lick of gaming knowledge or experience just based off for LinkedIn profile.
Phil was one of the few people that I deeply respected in the games industry. Beyond Kojima beyond Barlog beyond Druckman, Beyond so many others. Him and Shawn Layden….
Thank you for everything Phil. And Sarah. Xbox is alive because of you. Really hoping the next batch of execs doesn’t send the brand out to die or do a Xbox One generation all over again….
Honestly with the way both Xbox and PlayStation have been managing their business I don’t trust either to handle this properly if the team gets absorbed into Xbox.
That said, it totally slipped past me they did a Titanfall 1 port of 360. That’s a massive accomplishment. I can only hope Xbox learned from Tango’s fiasco that if you try to save a studio like that, you better make damn sure you do it right. A remaster studio is one of the quiet and most under appreciated gems of the industry.

Love to see it. Absolum was on my steam wishlist. Glad to see it on XGP and save me some money.

Re: ROG Xbox Ally X Set To Receive FPS Boosts Via 'Auto SR' Technology In April 2026
Always excited to see new updates on this device. It was my most used device in the last quarter of 2025.
Hoping super resolution works well. Could be a smart way to future proof newer titles as the hardware gets older.

Re: New Report On PS6 Delay Throws Next-Gen Timing Into Doubt
2030 would be ideal. 10 year console cycles just make sense with longer dev times these days. And let’s fully close all loopholes for scalpers. 🤞
Re: Four Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass In Late February 2026
Didn’t realize Injustice 2 was still on game pass. Hoping its removal is setting the stage for the Injustice 3 reveal.
