Here we go, folks! The Xbox Games Showcase for 2026 will officially take place in just a few months' time, and the special "Direct" taking place after its conclusion will be for none other than Gears of War: E-Day.
As always, we can expect a mountain of reveals for Xbox during the main show itself, most likely including in-depth looks at Fable and Halo: Campaign Evolved, along with plenty of announcements for titles that we've never seen before.
Then, we'll be going in-depth on the new Gears of War game in a special lengthy showcase of its own:
"Immediately following Showcase, we’ll go even deeper on one of the games coming later this year, directly from the team behind the Gears franchise, The Coalition Studio. Gears of War: E-Day Direct will take players into the start of Emergence Day, offering new details, gameplay and insights about the hugely anticipated origin story to the Gears of War saga."
The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 officially has a date of June 7th, 2026, and it'll begin at the following times:
- PDT: June 7, 10am
- EDT: June 7, 1pm
- BST: June 7, 6pm
- CEST: June 7, 7pm
- JST: June 8, 2am
- AEST: June 8, 3am
The Gears of War: E-Day direct will then take place immediately following its conclusion, so rest assured you won't have to come back at a later time! All in all, these showcases and the directs usually last around two hours combined.
