I played the Deus Ex game on PS4 and I got kinda bored so I decided to kill every single NPC in the main city bit and the haul all of their bodies into a big pile on the bed inside my character's apartment's bedroom. I think there were a couple I couldn't get because they were stuck below ladders.

Anyway, the end result was just walking into my apartment would tank the frame rate 😂

I've done both kinds of gyro aiming. Wii/PS3 Move style where I agree, it is a bit odd but it is cool and better for slower paced games.

But the modern gyro aiming where it's basically twin stick but you can just edge the aim by moving the controller is actually brilliant. I used it when playing through the Dooms on Switch with the Pro controller and thought it complimented it nicely 👍

It's not like the waggle of old, it's just micro movements for extra precision

Can't say anything about Splatoon as I've never played it unfortunately. But yes I agree, this release is awesome! 👍

The question PX posted the other day about whether we would want an updated controller. This is the only version of this game without gyro aiming.

I wouldn't even mind if it was a stealth update to controllers going forward and they started patching in gyro aiming to older games that have it on the other consoles.

With Xbox being the only 4K console I have, I'd happily buy a second controller if it included gyro over any other feature listed in that article so I can play games in 4K with a bit of gyro for precision aiming

Some shots look better on Switch, it looks more vibrant but I think the resolution difference is clearest in the shot of John and the dancing guy where the Series X version looks miles better

Will have a look later, hoping for DLC from Force Unleashed and DN Forever but I don't have high hopes tbh lol

If they have to charge for online play them they should have just dropped the price, the word gold and the monthly games.

I suppose if one was to take advantage of the 3:2 ratio, then it also affects how long you will have game pass subbed for. Because you can only stack 3 years so you'd end up with 2 years and 1 month (the GPU month you bought to convert it)

@Scummbuddy there's a slot on the back but I couldn't fit the n64 expansion pack removal tool in there and now I have to go through an annoying warranty process with Microsoft

I mean, it said expansion slot so I assumed it was for the expansion pak 🤷‍♂️

Had better luck jamming the rumble pak in to the battery slot on my Xbox controller though 👍

I wonder how this gen would have panned out if Xbox had only released the Series S at the £250 price point, almost half the price of the PS5.

I mean it's good to have options but without the knowledge of the Series X, could a standalone Series S at a budget price have a similar market impact to a £129 GameCube or a £179 Wii against their more expensive contemporaries?

Ahhh, wish they'd announced this before the eshop shut down, would have saved me 60 quid!

I know you can just plug a usb mouse and keyboard into the Xbox but I do wonder if a wireless Xbox branded KB+M along with a suite of compatible software along with some savvy marketing would bolster desire for traditionally PC genres on console

I used to play a demo of Chasm on PC when I was little. It must have been a floppy disk I got with a magazine or something.

I tried finding it for ages as an adult but never realised it had a subtitle which is pro probably where I was going wrong!

Does anyone know if the DLC for force unleashed ever goes on sale? I'm Gona pick up both games for £3 each but the DLC is pricey and I don't know whether it's worth waiting or whether I should just buy it at the same time

I think I'll wait for a game pass release on this one. I thought the first one was wicked though so i am looking forward to the sequel

Does the Xbox version of podracer support 4K?

I played through it on Switch and thought it was beautiful. Would love to see what a 4K upgrade looks like

@Tharsman not a lot actually outside of licensed games or games with moderate/heavy licensing leg work that would need to be done like guitar hero and Tony hawk's.

I tried Telling Lies before Xmas after playing and enjoying Immortality. I couldn't really get into TL though, it seemed a bit more obtuse than Immortality. I don't think I really had the patience for it. Maybe if it was for game club, I'd have been able to give it a better go with all the support, tips and experiences of the community.

Donut County is worth spending a few hours to complete. I found it quite nostalgic for my early 20s so probs good for millenials. Nice coming of age story

@themightyant I played a couple levels of it but I wasn't really in the right head space for it so I decided to let it go and deleted it.

It was ok. It's a first person photo-em-up. You can pet the doggies and you have ridiculously long arms when you do, especially the little pups. It's quite cute.

Haven't got much to lose by giving it a try at least!
