If GTA really costs $100 at launch, I'm tempted to say go ahead and release Fable as planned. I want to believe even GTA can't get away with such an outrageous price tag. Keywords 'want to' I've been disappointed by consumers before.
I'm honestly not that interested in a new Arkham game. We already have plenty of good Batman games, let another character get some time in the spotlight. Now if it was a Batman Beyond game, I'd be interested.
I was hoping Microsoft would do something like this when they bought Bethesda. It's not that I want them to rush it, I want them to let other studios take a shot at them.
When it comes to Kojima regardless of the quality of whatever game he makes it's at least interesting and original, which is good for any artistic medium.
There's definitely a decent chance they gave it to Starfield because it's a high-profile Xbox exclusive but it really shouldn't matter, this is their list, and they can put even Gollum on top if they want. And honestly the hate Starfield's been getting has gotten to Final Fantasy 13 levels of hyperbolic.
Let's hope Bethesda can capitalize on this momentum to make good DLC for the game and an Elder Scrolls 6 that lives up to expectations. While not a critical darling I do think this game could become a major franchise if they get the right people working on it.
I would just cut my losses if I were them and move on to a new project. ESO and 76 were big names with a lot of franchise recognition, hence why they had a chance at being salvaged after a bad launch. Redfall is a new IP, and one that fell flat on its face right out the front door. It'd be a waste of time and money to spend years trying to fix it.
It's not the killer app people were hoping for, but being a good game is a definite step forward for both Microsoft and Bethesda. It's not a reason for me to go out and buy a Series X today (couldn't afford that anyway), but I think I'm ready to start saving up for one.
I hope people go in with reasonable expectations. With their recent stumbles Microsoft really needs a good showing this time around, but I think it'd be unfair to expect them to show off GTA 6 or anything of that like.
I'll give him credit for taking responsibility. I'll also give Redfall credit for at least trying to be an original idea. I was likely not going to play it even if it was a 10 as multiplayer shooters just aren't my thing, but I do like seeing new ideas get thrown into the market, even if they end up tanking. I just hope they're able to come back from this, I'd be afraid of what Sony and Nintendo might try to get away with if they have less competition.

Re: One Month On, Oblivion Remastered Has A Pretty Low Completion Rate On Xbox
Not surprising. I think the main quest is pretty good personally but it'd hardly the main reason people play the game.

Here's hoping Ubisoft has learned to make this one not a carbon copy of their past Farcry games.

So now that both Sony and Microsoft have their own weird Kojima thing can we start getting along for once?

@NintendoByNature It's Kojima, that's a given.

Not a huge Hip Hop fan but I do like quite a few games with Hip Hop heavy soundtracks so I'm interested.
Re: Starfield Fails To Make Shortlist For 'Game Of The Year' At The Game Awards 2023
Don't feel too bad, it was a tough year. At least some of Xbox's games are getting nominations for some awards, that's a start.
Re: Microsoft Says 'No' To Horror Game That's Apparently 'Too Crazy For Xbox'
It doesn't look very good, but why is this bad but it's okay to go on a shooting spree in GTA?
