All this drama and repercussion inside even the hardcore communities (which usually don't consider CoD that relevant)... now just imagine if MS keeps on their shopping spree and grab Capcom, Atlus, Square or From Soft next... It'd be insane!

@Bmartin001 You are right: bringing GP to PS would, immediately, boost their hardware sales and benefit absolutely everybody (hell, I'd get a PS5 with GP). But yeah, it would devastate Sony's pride and I don't know if they'd be sensible enough to get over that.

@XxEvilAshxX I don't know, man... the silence from all parts regarding FF7R makes me wonder if it will ever get to XBOX at all! Well, I wouldn't hold my breath, unfortunately.

@Dusk_Actual Yup, parrying is the way to go with Blasphemous. It's super satisfying when you parry a boss; it's like every time you do that you mentally say "no, you won't, kid"! But depending on your skill level it may take you a few days - even on my vacation it took me several afternoons.

@Phantasystar77 It's fun, but I just skipped the mumbo jumbo religious lore. Besides that, it's a challenging game: so much so that after beating it, Ori was just a piece of cake!

I've searched the page and it seems that only I've got Blasphemous. Anybody got it before? I've beaten it and even though it is a solid metroidvania, Ori is much better (both of them). I also recommend Ender Lilies: another hardcore metroidvania - I completed it back in July on Ps4 (which I've sold to get my Series S).

A new Brutal Legend is what I need. Jack Black and rock n' roll!

@Alduin You don't have to, friend. Just avoid the new stuff and go back to the classics or recent(ish) games. But I'm with you: if this crap becomes the new standard I'm out for good.

Well, I'm a full-time working class dad who plays exclusively for fun. I don't do multiplayer. I've never bought a single in-game item. What I'm trying to say is: the second this industry stops providing what I need as a player, I'll stop following anything new. Maybe indies and older games. And I really feel I'm not alone here.

Now guys, let me tell you one thing: after maybe 2 hours of gameplay, I happened to win this race and got an achievement for that. Out of curiosity, I clicked on it for more details...it turns out only 15% of the players got it! Help me spread the word: that game is a seriously underrated piece. Give it a chance if it's in your backlog. And now with the fps boost, it's just...chef kiss!

This looks properly silly/ fun! It's good to play something that doesn't take itself seriously every once in a while.

@gollumb82 Yeah, you're right: quick resuming stuff is so fast that sometimes I barely look at the UI!

@SplooshDmg I second that: smaller icons would definitely make the background more visible!

In my opinion there's nothing wrong with the UI per se: it works and it's responsive. However, I do wish I could get rid of some of the clutter. Do you guys remember the PSP dashboard? That was perfection for minimalist guys like me!

@CaptnDave Agreed, friend. I guess it's just my nostalgia kicking in! And also, I'm so old school that I don't even play multi-player games - so these so called "creators/fortniters (I guess I've just invented a word)" are just plain weird to me.

@jorel262 Precisely. Somebody more legitimate would resonate much more with fans. And also, these "deluxe products" are just tacky as hell.

I guess I'm indeed getting old: this guy sounds/looks so out of touch and childish... but apparently he's a big deal with kids nowadays. *****, back in the day Van Damme, Stallone and Schwarzenegger were our guys (each one sillier than the previous one, but still...). Weird times we live in, indeed! Somebody please help me to cross the street X)

Brazilian here. It's easy to see how successful the Series S has been in emerging markets like ours: you can either get one or a PS4 for roughly the same price ($500 or, in our local currency, R$2500 - a surreal price above 2 minimum wages combined...).
In short, for guys who know a bit of gaming and are not willing to pay more than R$5000- 6000 (the equivalent of an arm and a leg on the black market) to get a Series X or PS5, the Series S is an attractive (if still pricey) entry point for this new generation.
In fact, if not for the Series S (that I got a month ago), I wouldn't dare to dream of getting into the current gen. So, I'm "glad" for it existing.

@SplooshDmg I see, friend. Things are indeed way more complex than I initially thought. And I won't pretend I understand your struggle, man. Now more than ever I do hope these "surprise mechanics" go to hell and all the platinum trophy thing as well, because I had no idea how deeply they could affect players. I really wish you the best. Keep fighting the good fight!

@SplooshDmg I'm genuinely sorry to read about your personal experience with trophies and the such. Have you tried to change your mindset about games as a whole? For instance, I see them as entertainment products, no more, no less - the moment I stop having fun, I simply quit. That usually happens when the credits roll: then I convince myself that I had my fill and I jump over to another game that may or may not be worth my time. What I'm trying to say is: your time and you as a person are infinitely more valuable than any game (or anything). Don't ever forget that, friend!

@Microbius Same here, man. I know some people lose their minds over trophies/ achievements, but honestly I only play games to decompress and relax. A to-do list isn't exactly my idea of fun. But, whatever makes people happy, right?

Hey, guys! I was a Playstation kid so I didn't ever experience Halo during its glory days. Fast forward almost two decades and here I am with a Series S fresh out of the box (only a couple of weeks or so) and also I'm a newbie here (I joined Pure yesterday). My question is: should I jump in on Infinite or play through the Master Chief collection? Any input is welcome!

@SplooshDmg I started playing it two nights ago on my Series S. Well, it's already one of the best rpgs I've ever played! And the 60fps...man, this game is something, right?? And no mention of it as a Goty contender on Game Awards, broooo

@thenewguy I dodged the bullet! Even though the wife let me preorder it (PS4 Slim at the time), I simply didn't and in the end it seems like my hunch was right! How much did you pay for your copy?

@Magabro Yes, my friend. As a working-class Brazilian, I can confirm everything you said. At the same time I'm ready glad to finally be able to get my Series S a couple of weeks ago. It's modest, but I'm back to the Xbox world! (By the way, this is my first comment here)
