@Kaloudz I’m not a poker player whatsoever, but I gave this a try because of all of the praise it was getting. It’s a fantastic game, it’s the poster child of “just one more round.”

@Medic_alert I’m right there with you, it’s somehow nothing special, but really great at the same time. My biggest complaint is that enemies don’t repopulate because the combat is easily the best part and I’d really like to be able to just run around grinding.

I’m all in on Avowed this weekend and I’m loving it. It didn’t catch me at the beginning but after an hour or two it really pulled me in.

I started Drova Forsaken Kin on my Steam Deck this week. It’s such an incredible game, the combat is fun, I love the leveling system, the world is well thought out, it’s gorgeous, the story is intriguing, and it has some pretty good humor (looking at you dog that stole my meat while I was petting you). I highly recommend it if you enjoy tough RPGs.

This looks like the Gundam game I’ve always wanted but never got (from the ones I’ve tried). My concern is there was no mention of a solo game made, if it’s multiplayer only I have no interest in this.

I’ll skip paying the extra money and happily wait for it to arrive on the 18th

A year later and I still haven’t tried it. I got it on PS+ so I do plan on eventually giving it a try though.

I’m ok with if it does become the best modern Doom game, the other two are phenomenal.

@OnePunchDante I meant to say it’s considered to be an awful game. I’m with you, I love it. It has its jankiness, but that’s part of the fun with it. When I want something mindless to jump into just to have fun, that’s one of my main go to games. I haven’t tried co-op yet, most people I game with either hate it or haven’t played it.

@Brigurugi Koei Tecmo’s Ninja Gaiden games are some of the best action games ever made. Respectfully, I couldn’t disagree more.

I’m playing a good amount this weekend. My main focus is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I’ve been playing Lies of P on Steam Deck. I also fired up Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which plays as beautifully as I remember. Finally, I played a game that i believe I’m the only person on the planet that enjoys it, Crackdown 3. It’s considered an awful game, but I have fun every time I play it.

Who in their right mind is voting this a D or F?! This was a fantastic Direct.

This is easily my most anticipated game of the year, so far. Everything they have shown looks incredible.

Kunitsu-Gami is a fantastic, unique game. I can’t recommend it enough.

I finally sat down and spent more than fifteen minutes at a time with Indy, it’s a really fun game. I also started Kingdom Come Deliverance recently, so I’ll be playing that as well. It’s realism is something that would normally put me off of a game, but it really works with KCD.

What a shame, I’ve been waiting for another good Transformers game. I guess I’ll just have to plug in my 360 and play the Cybertron games again.

At this rate it’ll be getting into GTAVI territory

No offset analog sticks is an automatic pass for me with Xbox controllers.

Possibly Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but I doubt I’ll get the time. If not I might squeeze in some Cyberpunk and Megaman X Drive Offline on Steam Deck.

This is one of my most anticipated games.

A year later and I’ve still only spent about a minute and a half on it before deleting it. I knew it wasn’t for me, so I’m not sure why I even downloaded it.

I got a decent amount of Metaphor in and I started the extremely underrated Nine Sols.

I’m slowly making my way through Metaphor on Xbox, I sadly haven’t gotten much console gaming time lately. Persona 5 Royal has gotten more love on Steam Deck while I wait in line for my kids to get out of school.

I have no nostalgia for these games, I never played them on PlayStation, but even with that, I’d say it’s a solid 8. They aren’t the best games but they’re fun, and good for what they are.

@Scrubchub I thought Death Stranding looked terrible and was such a ridiculous concept for a game, but I heard them talking about it on Sacred Symbols and it caught my interest. I’ve now bought it on PS5 and for Steam Deck. It’s an extremely weird game that I never would have expected to fall in love with but I did. It’s somehow a very relaxing yet intense game at the same time. It has great atmosphere, incredible music, and a unique but fun gameplay loop. At the price Xbox has it for I truly can’t recommend it enough.

I cannot wait for this game, it’s one of my most anticipated games of next year, so far. Everything I’ve seen about it so far looks great. I couldn’t care less about Sweet Baby being involved, I really wish people would get over them. Personally, if they were involved with swapping the main character from a white woman to a black woman, I think they made a smart move, it makes sense for the story and setting.

(Fun fact that’s coming from a white male… sorry, “woke” white male.) RAAARRRRRRR INCLUSION!

I thought this game looked so stupid and boring. The only reason I gave it a shot was because Chris on Sacred Symbols was in the same boat as me and he raved about it, him and I seem to have very similar tastes. I grabbed it on sale and absolutely loved it. It’s such a unique game, the music is fantastic, and the story is intriguing. I can’t recommend it enough.

Astro Bot, followed by Metaphor for me!

I should be able to get a good amount of time in with Metaphor tomorrow, my wife is taking the kids to watch football at my in laws and I’m staying home. I also played some Skyrim on Steam Deck but am debating setting that to the side for now for Persona 5 Royal because I bought it for $23 on Steam. I’ve played P5 but never beat it.

I finally got to sit down and sink a few hours into Metaphor, that game is fantastic. I also fired up the new CoD on Game Pass, I played the first mission, enjoyed it, then immediately went back to Metaphor.

I played the opening mission, which is the first bit of CoD I’ve played since Advanced Warfare. The opening mission was good, the gunplay was top level as always. I’ll jump back in eventually, but for now … more Metaphor, please!

The real question is how’s that premium audio?!

It was my GotY last year and one of my favorite games in the last decade. An easy 10, for me.

I finally got to sit down and play Metaphor Refantazio, I’m only an hour in but this game seems like it’ll live up to the hype. I’m also playing Echoes of Wisdom, nearly done with that.

I don’t play online much but every now and then my friend will get me to play something through crossplay

Very likely nothing for me, we are in Maine for one last weekend before they close the cottage. I brought my Steam Deck so if I can’t sleep I’ll jump into Skyrim. Otherwise, I’ll dream of Metaphor.

I got 5 or 6 entries for pre ordering Metaphor today. Of course I won’t win, but I’m certainly going to try!

Glad to see 5, so far behind. That’s the only Halo game I truly hated.

Infinite for me, it’s not the best Halo, but I think it’s the best feeling Halo from a gameplay perspective and I think it’s the most fun I’ve had with Halo since Reach.

Celebrate 10 years with this PS5 release!

Some Skyrim on the Steam Deck, trying to get myself back into FFVII Rebirth so I can actually finish it, but Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is taking up the majority of my game time.

My wife took the kids for a sleepover at my sister in law’s house, so I’ve been taking some relaxation time for myself and doing some heavy gaming. Mostly I’ve been playing Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, I expected to enjoy it, I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do. I don’t think it’ll beat out Astro as my GotY, but it’ll be a close second. I also jumped into a few rounds of Space Marine 2 with a couple of friends, my very rare multiplayer gaming time. I’m almost exclusive a single player kind of guy, but every now and then the right game comes along.

I lost my shi… mind, when the Lunar Collection Remaster was announced, my son thought something was wrong at first until he saw the look of pure excitement on my face. That was the game that got me into RPGs back on Sega CD, I’m so excited to revisit it.

This was my GotY last year, so I’ll gladly welcome more with open arms.
