Re: These Eight Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (April 2-16)

NeutronBomb

What a load of old carp!
And to know theyre just sitting on Activisions entire back catalogue still.
I wonder if Microsoft are cooling fast on Gamepass. For £15.99 a month I want more than this, tbh.
Then there is the recent reward program nerf. I sold my Series X when they made it clear games were going to rival platforms. They still have my sub for PC ultimate, just. Im considering leaving though, and Ive been into the subscription since day 1.

Ive been a fan of Phil Spencer, but nice guys finish last. Xbox is sliding hard. Microsoft need to hit the emergency brake hard imo. Drastic upheavals needed in Redmond imo.

Re: Xbox's Hi-Fi RUSH Actually Has 'Slightly' Improved Visuals On PS5

@ShadowofTwilight I'd argue it doesn't matter how minor it is. Their (xbox) game looks better on the competitions device. It beggers belief. What even goes on at Redmond these day's?
I personally don't care for him as a platform head, but if Jim Ryan ran Xbox with the same budget available to Spencer, then Xbox would be dominating gaming right. Not saying that would look good - I like Spencers feel good policies - but it's fact.

Re: Xbox Supposedly 'Very Surprised' At The Extent Of The Latest Rumours

NeutronBomb

Exactly what I feared most. We're ain't getting a definitive answer, and why would we expect to? Messaging is not an Xbox speciality after all.
I now expect lots of "nothings been decided," "we're commited to Series S &X" (with probably no mention of future hardware). Vague AF will likely be the theme.
I honestly have been staggered at just how blasé they've been this week or so. People trading their machines in and they just sit there silent. Madness.

Re: UK's Biggest Video Game Retailer Reportedly Stopping Trade-Ins In 2024

NeutronBomb

They still think the market is shrinking, but they never once even tried out a fair pricing policy. People in the UK all know GAME are robbing you on prices.
When had a indy game shop (ps1/ps2) era, we charged £35 for brand new day 1 game. If it came straight back via trade, we'd sell it for £25 or £22 (depending on what it was).
Platinum ps games were £18 new £12 preowned.

Nowadays in game, you find a recent release prowled and it's nearly full price.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Thoughts On 'Lies Of P' So Far?

NeutronBomb

@Fenbops Totally. If the publisher is fine knowing sales are hamstrung by skill requirements, then who am I to say thats not ok? Nice to see that more money is not the only thing that matters for a change.
But won't stop me asking for easy mode, on behalf of those of us who want to just experience the story/game beginning to end, but don't want the whole thing to feel like a painful lesson in perseverance.
