@Ricky-Spanish And that's the root of the problem in this kind of situation. When a publisher puts out something new or different, the masses dive in and consume it. But if they don't continue to be innovative, if they rely on the same thing over and over, then half their customer base (or more) will leave them. They're left with a group of dedicated fans of their content, but the company continues to hold up mass success as the yard stick. Those fans will never buy enough to keep investment coming in.
Tale as old as capitalism.

Most obvious reason is, the Acti-blizz execs have gotten into Spencers ear and talked him down from putting it all on gamepass.
Or maybe it's just because Xbox has had a stacked year and they want those games in reserve for a quiet spell? Who knows right?

No human being needs this amount of money. Cap yearly earnings after tax to 1 million. Still an obscene amount imo. But no can claim they can't live comfortably/lavishly on 1 mill per year.

@ZYDIO lol I am using an Arctic. I don't know which one. It's 1 or 3. The wireless cyberpunk one. I agree it's personal preference. I don't use movie settings for any reason other than it sounds best to me. The GAME setting is so much quieter

@Fiendish-Beaver I have the Dolby Atmos app. Its great. Recommend MOVIE setting. GAME is too quiet.

Just campaign for me. I find the MP pointless. Randoms shoved together for shooty-shooty. (With most hiding in corners like rats)

These days I love nothing more than visiting the Xbox store page, seeing an old game on sale and buying it, knowing it has all the dlc and is essentially now a fully working game.
Day one games thesedays are a Jo,e. Most arrive in a shocking state. Avowed will totally get a 60 fps update down the road. Until then, I guess I'll play it on my rog ally with setting low for 60.

Anybody who thinks that Sony won "the console war" by defeating Microsoft is deluding themselves. Microsoft have defeated themselves. They have constantly, and consistently been a overwhelming match for their own endeavours. They only have themselves to blame.

I mean, it's awful but I kinda want ms to be making whatever they can from Xbox right now.

@BRT15 Personally, I don't think they do that until after Black ops 6. They want people playing that at launch, not older titles in the series. I think modern warfare iii was a concession to the loudest protests of those who are sick of waiting.

Playstation is THE cool brand. Microsoft don't have the stomach for the kinda fight needed to shift that opinion.
Sony win, I guess. But I wonder if ponies truly know what they've won. No competition isn't a good thing. Get ready for high priced games, expensive memberships and hardware prices to make your eyes water. And your only choice is like or don't.

Can't get it (campaign) running for more than 5 minutes without crashing my ROG Ally tbh.
I've just ordered a new Series X. Thought I'd never go back at first but my handheld phase has not entirely been all that successful tbf.

Spotlight on Baron Greenback (Aaron Greenberg) now. For this to work, marketing must be at a high level. It must reach the ears of all the mainstream. Do that and number WILL rocket because you would need to be an idiot to not sign up (if you're on xbox or pc).

Not really the duty/fault of Ninja Theory, but Xbox needed more right now than this. A lot now rides on Call of duty for them.

It would be SO XBOX if Call of duty was somehow now surplanted as the number 1 shooter by xdefiant. 😬

@Gabrielmpf I don't believe anybody is asking Xbox to rush the next game. More like, they should rush/pay to figure out the logistics sooner. Does another studio need to step in? Does BGS need a whole new team? Heck, could they use a whole new spin off studio, a'la Arkane Lyon/Austin?
Nobody wants a bad game, but we shouldn't need to wait a decade either.

@BAMozzy That's future thinking. Most gamers, and I say this as a 40 something, are stuck in the past. Microsoft know they lost the console war boll**ks but can see a way to navigate around that to a place where games are sold to actual people rather than to console fan boys. There are a couple of hundred million of us console owners out there, but 9 billion potential customers out in the wider world.
Would the Microsoft vision of time when every gamer has access to any game on whatever device be so bad?

Inexile & Obsidian should be working on Fallout spin offs right now.
Long term, Microsoft should triple down on BGS. Three studios under 1 BGS banner, each one responsible for either Fallout, ES or Starfield. They have the money to make that sensible investment.

@NEStalgia I think honestly that we're seeing a resurgence of the JRPG. More and more are tiring of the AAA blockbuster with each and every lackluster/broken new release.

Shame because they (wwe) do better with competition. Attitude era was 🔥🔥🔥 because wcw had them beat for a while.
