No as long as when u apply the gold you don't have ultimate or it won't work , doesnt matter if you have done it before or have had ultimate before

Not a biggie for me as I have GPU till Nov 24 , then if the old ways don't work ,I get 30000 points a month from rewards so a 12000 points on GPU a month ain't gonna break the bank
