Re: Is Xbox Successful Right Now? Phil Spencer Shares His Thoughts

However, he also warned of the need to remain "creative and adaptive" in order to achieve continued success.

I agree with this in theory; Xbox can clearly no longer compete with PlayStation purely on sales of its own hardware and only selling first-party games on said hardware. However, I do hope that all the other initiatives - Game Pass, Cloud, first-party games on rival platforms, etc - continue to keep the Xbox business "healthy", because if they don't pan out either then I do wonder sometimes about how much longer Microsoft will be willing to pump money into the Xbox brand/ecosystem.

Re: Soapbox: Four Years On, I'm Already Nostalgic For The Early Xbox Series X|S Era

If I could choose again, I wouldn't have bought a Series X and would've moved over to PC a few years before I actually ended up doing so. This generation of Xbox has been great if you like playing or replaying old games; backwards compatibility paired with FPS boost revitalised a lot of older games. However, buying into this gen on the back of being able to play Microsoft's first-party output was one of the stupidest things I've ever done, gaming-wise.

Re: Talking Point: Which Of Late 2024's Biggest Xbox Releases Are You Most Excited For?

I have no interest in MSFS2024. I dabbled with the last one back in 2020(?) and it's just not for me.

Stalker 2, I'm not sure about. I don't really know anything about Stalker except it's nuclear-y.

Indiana Jones, I have high hopes for. MachineGames' Wolfenstein games are excellent, so it'll be interesting to see how they tackle something with less shooting and more puzzles and exploration.
