@HonestHick Semiconductor plants were already coming to the US, in part due to the CHIPS Act passed by the previous administration. I’m glad we agree that not everything needs to be made here. Unfortunately these blanket tariffs are wreaking havoc on the global economy. And again, we don’t have an employment problem. It wasn’t too long ago that we were hearing about how “nobody wants to work” and wages were going up due to labor shortages. I don’t understand who is supposed to be working in these factories. Though I guess if they ever get built, it will be years from now and our economic situation could be vastly different <gulp>
@HonestHick We do not have an employment problem in the US. We do not have people clamoring to work in factories - certainly not for the kinds of wages that are made by people in Vietnam, Cambodia and China. If you paid Americans to make these products, they would be very expensive. It is ridiculous to say that these countries that make extremely sophisticated products for comparatively little money are “ripping us off.” Quite the contrary, we have leveraged our power to put the American consumer in a position of privilege. And now our President is trying to undo it for reasons that most Americans and the entire rest of the world cannot fathom. Again, you do not want to work in a factory making iPhones and Xboxes, I promise you.
It’s shocking to see such catastrophic events in the gaming world, ushered in by people who were convinced that the true threat to our hobby was something called Sweet Baby.
I read this analysis, and now every time I miss a dodge or parry I wonder if I should just buy it on PS5. The game is very cool (and I have no problem with the way it looks), but the trial-and-error approach to defensive moves is awkward, and the possibility that the frame rate making is making it more difficult doesn’t help.
@K1LLEGAL I’m definitely looking at the Deluxe edition. Seems like the price went up around 2:45pm EST today. I know because it was the lower price when my friend told me about it, and it went up a couple minutes later, right after I put it in my cart. It gave me an error and then when I looked again it was closer to half off. Seems like the price was low for several hours but I just missed it!
@GiveMeMoney I gotta disagree with you on TotK and BG3. Within the first 30 minutes of TotK, you get the kind of classic Bethesda “emerging from the vault” moment that Starfield sorely lacks. Similarly, BG3 starts off with the kind of truly meaningful choices that seem to be missing from Starfield, at least in the opening hours.
Nice! I spent a lot of time with this game after 1.0 and really enjoyed it for a few weeks before falling off. This seems like a good opportunity to dive back in!
Series S has been perfect for me as a way to enjoy Game Pass and play my favorite 360 games with awesome enhancements. I already had a PS5 and couldn’t fit another chonk of a console in my TV stand. And Forza, the title I was most excited to play on it, looks great! I’ve gotten pretty sensitive to 30fps this gen, but somehow it seems smooth.
Tried this on my tv today. It’s far from the router but good enough for streaming video. For Game Pass, the picture is always sharp but unplayably laggy. Interesting that it doesn’t seem to compromise video quality at all to compensate. It just breaks. Gonna look into a WiFi extender.

Re: EA Adds 'Immortals Of Aveum' To The List Of 90% Discounts On Xbox
@Kloppo Yeah I’m also seeing Immortals at a higher price, at least on my web browser. And I’m logged into my account which has Game Pass.

Re: Escape Academy On Game Pass Is Getting Fixes For Xbox Series X
I hope this fix goes for Series S too. It seems possible with the graphical style. Fun game!

Re: Deals: 200+ Games Added To This Week's Xbox Sales (June 28 - July 5)
At this point it seems like they will never put the original Far Cry 3 on sale BECAUSE that one runs better on Series S/X lol
Re: Deals: All 50+ Backwards Compatible Games In This Week's Xbox Sales
I’m still seeing Ballad of Gay Tony as full price on Marketplace.
