Re: Talking Point: Are You Still Playing Forza Motorsport On Xbox Game Pass?

Gabrielmpf

Hardly. I play one race per day just to complete the limited-time events and that's it. I keep forcing myself to play just not to lose out on the cars they offer, but it's hard to keep playing when the game clearly has no creativity. The game lacks so much content and yet they insist on removing the newly added events after each update.

People talk trash about COD, and some of it is warranted, but I just can't name any other shooter that plays so well. Of course people are going to complain about it being copy/paste, but when you have a winning formula, why change?

Battlefield comes close sometimes, but just doesn't seem to have the same satisfying gameplay. Not a big fan of huge maps.

Re: Forza Motorsport Update 2 Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@iplaygamesnstuff I have no problem with a track focused game, since I've always liked track racers. I do agree that they don't give you enough incentives to keep playing the game, more evident by the lack of single player content.

The game feels hollow right now. They try to sell you a pretty package but forgot to put anything of value inside.

Unfortunately, this is a problem with the gaming industry right now, not just Forza Motorsport.

Re: Forza Motorsport Tracks: Two Courses Confirmed As Post-Launch DLC

Gabrielmpf

"Forza Motorsport has 20 track locations at launch, and while that number is a decent amount on day one, we already have more courses confirmed to be releasing in 2023 and beyond."

Come on now, 20 locations is anything but decent. I'm doing career mode and I'm already tired of VIR and Watkins Glen appearing in most championships. A decent amount would've been 30+ locations.

Re: Starfield Is Now Bethesda's Biggest Game Launch Of All Time

Gabrielmpf

I'm really loving it so far. Solid experience with no major bugs. And the gameplay feels really smooth on Series X, even smoother than regular 30fps, can't explain it well, but I'm not missing the 60fps as much as I thought I would.

I lost count how many times I stopped just to admire the vistas. I also love the background music. It really sets up the atmosphere really nice. Well done Bethesda. That extra year made wonders to the game.

Re: Turn 10 Reveals Another Launch Day Track For Forza Motorsport

Gabrielmpf

@theduckofdeath It's still paid DLC, which was my point initially. Look, I'm no fanboy, I have both XSX and PS5. Just saying that I prefer the GT7 model, which has free updates. I couldn't care less about MTX, which I think they overdid it, but that's optional.

On another note, I love GT7's handling with the gyroscope. I wish Xbox had a similar experience, like the Speed Wheel they had for the X360. Playing Forza 4 with that was awesome, since I couldn't get an expensive wheel.

Re: Turn 10 Reveals Another Launch Day Track For Forza Motorsport

The game has so few tracks compared to other racers. 20 locations for 6 years of development seems really low. It'll start to get old pretty fast, especially on the career mode as you keep racing on the same tracks. I'm sure they'll add more later on, but they probably will be paid DLC, unlike GT7 updates.

Re: Forza Horizon 1 & 2 Are Shutting Their Servers On Xbox This August

Gabrielmpf

I thought it was already dead. I tried to play recently and the servers for the "1000 Club" were constantly down. It's a shame they didn't make that part of the game offline, as it's a single player component and doesn't need online.

Let's see what happens with the new Forza Motorsport in a few years when the licenses expire and we can't even play single player. This is why no one should be OK with always online.

Re: Microsoft Announces Price Increases For Xbox Series X And Xbox Game Pass

Gabrielmpf

The price hike doesn't affect me anymore, since I cancelled my sub early this year.

I found that, for me, because I replay games a lot, Game Pass isn't worth it in the long run, since games are there, on average, a year or so. I'd rather pay for them when they're on sale and keep them forever.

I did find it good value for money when I got my Series X last year. It was great for catching up on many games.
