@Eejay Exactly my reason for picking up a Series X as well. It used to be Forza that made me get an Xbox, but Flight Simulator just hits differently. Definitely, my biggest anticipated game of the year
@PhileasFragg Vanguard is my favorite since World at War. Love the atmosphere and witty humor of the characters. I also like the zombies mode. You can try multiplayer with bots. It's lots of fun.
Wow! Just Wow! I mean, any other developer would easily turn this into a new game and charge full price. Yet, these guys just keep on giving and making this game more awesome than ever! Can I say 'Awesomer'?
I have all three systems plus Steam Deck, so I couldn't care less if MS goes multi-platform. At the end of the day, I can still play any game I want. People overreacting over nothing like it's the end of XBox...
Hardly. I play one race per day just to complete the limited-time events and that's it. I keep forcing myself to play just not to lose out on the cars they offer, but it's hard to keep playing when the game clearly has no creativity. The game lacks so much content and yet they insist on removing the newly added events after each update.
It's funny how COD MW2 almost got me off of playing the game altogether, but MW3 has made me come back. The multiplayer is really great this time. Don't like these operators, like Rick Grimes and other known characters, but to each their own, I guess.
Ah, more tracks that we had in previous Forza games. I wonder if they'll add any track new to the Forza franchise or will just keep giving us what we lost.
Of course. I'd love to play Forza games with gyroscope steering like GT7 and GT Sport. Will keep my expectations low, though, so as to not have them shattered later.
@Markatron84 I read somewhere that they said not every update would bring a new track. They need to up the pace on new racing series though. One a week is not enough to keep players engaged. We need daily races.
I know, I know, it prints money and all that, because casuals is where the real money is. Hope at least if can fund the real games after all the suits get their share.
Ryse, for sure. That game still looks amazing by today's standards. I also liked the linear story and the combat. Still have hope we'll get Ryse 2 someday...
People talk trash about COD, and some of it is warranted, but I just can't name any other shooter that plays so well. Of course people are going to complain about it being copy/paste, but when you have a winning formula, why change?
Battlefield comes close sometimes, but just doesn't seem to have the same satisfying gameplay. Not a big fan of huge maps.
Got F1 23 at 50% off yesterday thinking it wouldn't be cheaper anytime soon... Today, I see it at 60% off in the Black Friday deals. Man, I feel cheated...
@iplaygamesnstuff I have no problem with a track focused game, since I've always liked track racers. I do agree that they don't give you enough incentives to keep playing the game, more evident by the lack of single player content.
The game feels hollow right now. They try to sell you a pretty package but forgot to put anything of value inside.
Unfortunately, this is a problem with the gaming industry right now, not just Forza Motorsport.
They update the game with new events that are locked for 24h+. What a great way to give players some excitement. They couldn't even make the game with fresh content every week like Horizon.
Yeah, Infinity Ward's original Modern Warfare games were among the best CODs, but more recently I really liked Treyarch's Cold War, and their Black Ops series, except 4, were also among my favorites. I guess it depends on who you're asking, but right now I'd pick Treyarch
With everyone being offended now for the most ridiculous things, and reports saying they were going the safe route with the story, I am not the least bit hyped for this. They would have to be revolutionary in terms of gameplay to make up for the weak story.
This decision probably had everything to do with the PlayStation deal still active. With a full release this year they got rid of that deal and can release next year's COD fully under Microsoft.
@oopsiezz Oh, that's actually pretty interesting, as I also don't like to play online, but it's quite fun to play some matches against bots. That's the reason why I play COD.
Now, if only they allowed to unlock stuff and level up offline, that'd be awesome.
@Kezelpaso Fair enough. Let's see how frequently they add new tracks. If it's anything like GT7, we're in for a long wait before it gets better. Hopefully they'll learn something from their competitor.
"Forza Motorsport has 20 track locations at launch, and while that number is a decent amount on day one, we already have more courses confirmed to be releasing in 2023 and beyond."
Come on now, 20 locations is anything but decent. I'm doing career mode and I'm already tired of VIR and Watkins Glen appearing in most championships. A decent amount would've been 30+ locations.
Favorite racing game: Sega Rally on Sega Saturn But since the question is franchise, I'd say Gran Turismo 1-4 is best, but Forza 4 and up (except 5) took the crown for me.
I love both GT and Forza, and since I own both consoles, I have the best of both worlds.
@GeeForce Remember that most real world circuits don't allow reverse layouts. But it's still a lot less than Forza 7 and their competitor GT7. It's gonna feel old pretty fast.
@Techno92LFC Yeah, they could even have two separate level systems. One for bots and another for online. I would definitely buy the battle pass for that, but they don't want my money...
@Techno92LFC That's pretty much me. I always have more fun playing with bots than online. That's why I always liked COD, because most other shooters don't even bother adding the option to play with bots.
I'm really loving it so far. Solid experience with no major bugs. And the gameplay feels really smooth on Series X, even smoother than regular 30fps, can't explain it well, but I'm not missing the 60fps as much as I thought I would.
I lost count how many times I stopped just to admire the vistas. I also love the background music. It really sets up the atmosphere really nice. Well done Bethesda. That extra year made wonders to the game.
@theduckofdeath It's still paid DLC, which was my point initially. Look, I'm no fanboy, I have both XSX and PS5. Just saying that I prefer the GT7 model, which has free updates. I couldn't care less about MTX, which I think they overdid it, but that's optional.
On another note, I love GT7's handling with the gyroscope. I wish Xbox had a similar experience, like the Speed Wheel they had for the X360. Playing Forza 4 with that was awesome, since I couldn't get an expensive wheel.
@Sifi I'd rather have unpaid DLC. I don't spend a cent in MTX anyway. It doesn't change the fact that the game has very few locations at launch, though.
The game has so few tracks compared to other racers. 20 locations for 6 years of development seems really low. It'll start to get old pretty fast, especially on the career mode as you keep racing on the same tracks. I'm sure they'll add more later on, but they probably will be paid DLC, unlike GT7 updates.
I'm actually disappointed with the number of tracks. Six years waiting for just 20 locations? GT7 launched with 34 locations. My only hope is that they will add more later, although not free as GT7, but high priced DLC.
I thought it was already dead. I tried to play recently and the servers for the "1000 Club" were constantly down. It's a shame they didn't make that part of the game offline, as it's a single player component and doesn't need online.
Let's see what happens with the new Forza Motorsport in a few years when the licenses expire and we can't even play single player. This is why no one should be OK with always online.
The price hike doesn't affect me anymore, since I cancelled my sub early this year.
I found that, for me, because I replay games a lot, Game Pass isn't worth it in the long run, since games are there, on average, a year or so. I'd rather pay for them when they're on sale and keep them forever.
I did find it good value for money when I got my Series X last year. It was great for catching up on many games.
@Matthewnh Thanks for your reply. Not as expensive as I thought, and they also last longer than I thought. Will definitely keep this in mind if I see a good deal on one
@Matthewnh Lamp life is what always made me shy away from one. Sounds like a hassle to worry about replacing the lamp, and probably quite expensive too.
