Re: Bethesda Sets Release Date For Massive Fallout 4 'Creations' Update On Xbox Consoles

Deadsea93

I was surprised to see that Ps4 and One were both getting a boost of 15 GB cause this update was initially supposed to be current gen only. This boost is very welcome cause Ps4/Ps5 were only capped at 1 GB while One/Series S/Series X were capped at 2 GB. 2 GB is way too small for someone like me that sees Tales From The Commonwealth and Mutant Menagarie:Life Finds A Way that will take up 1 GB together and then there is America Rising 2 that was another fantastic one and it takes up nearly 1 GB alone.

To answer the author's question about Fallout:London, that team needs Bethesda's help for a standalone release as Fallout 4 dlc because it is impossible to port London over any other way. It has nothing to do with the storage limit as it is really the script extender that is the issue. London breaks Fallout 4 down on PC and rebuilds it with different assets to convert it. Bethesda would be silly to not team up with them to make this happen because even charging $10 or $20 for this would have lots tune in and buy it.

The reason why the Ps5 is getting only 15 GB is because Sony is fairly strict with mods and so it doesn't need 100 GB. I am a mod author that absolutely does want my mods on Ps4/Ps5 and yet this is impossible and I look like a bad guy with that community as it makes it look as though I am skipping them out of spite. Now with Starfield on Ps5, I truly hope that Sony changes their stance on external asset mods. It would be a big win with the modding community on both sides. Authors can share their work, players can play them.

@BethesdaBoyz Skyrim needs this update even more because there have been gigantic mods nearly 1GB in size and acted like Dlc with extended worlds. I'd love for 100 GB to happen there cause it is currently capped at 5 GB. Ha, goodbye social life for me if that happens. 100 GB would be far more than enough for what I'd want. That and a talented European modding team recently uploaded "Legacy Of The Orsinium" mod for $10 and it absolutely is worth it, so new Creations are still being made for Skyrim. Skyrim turns 15 this year so maybe then it will get the boost, one can only hope.

Re: Xbox's State Of Decay 3 Finally Returns, Signups Now Live For Alpha Playtests

Deadsea93

I've been a fan of this franchise since Day 1 when the original was a lesser known Arcade title. State of Decay 2 did improvements in some areas and walked backwards in others like Story and Characters. I didn't vibe with any of the new characters compared to Marcus. I really hope this game launches soon as I had been wondering how development was going. Would be nice to get it before Helix

Re: Life Is Strange: Reunion's Review Situation Is Weird, But It Seems Great On Xbox Series X|S

Deadsea93

Was a day 1 fan of the first game and every game afterwards has been a downgrade in every way and it felt like Square Enix were milking it at that point. I just don't care anymore, but I will say that I am happy that this game is $40 as it shouldn't be a full priced title and more games should follow this formula, but even then I see it having 0 replay value for me and if I care enough I'll just watch it on YouTube for free. If I had the choice to pay $40 for this or FF7 Remake, then it would easily be FF7

Re: Xbox Exec Talks Project Helix And Why It'll Be 'Easier' Than Series X|S To Develop For

Deadsea93

I am glad that Series S happened as it was a good idea and a good product, but I believe it was a learning lesson for Microsoft due to forcing teams to optimize the game for both S and X and this had unforseen issues like Baldur's Gate 3 getting delayed on Xbox for awhile because that team were having issues with the Series S version. I really hope that next gen we have a single Xbox all gen long with Helix and there be no cheaper alternative. Microsoft really needs a good start for next gen and having a single console to worry about such as what devs worked with this gen with Sony having a single Ps5 will be a big improvement.

Re: Xbox Says Backwards Compatibility Program Will Be Revived For 25th Anniversary

Deadsea93

Microsoft owns Activision and thus owns GUN. This one was a huge missed opportunity to not have as a backwards compatible title when Red Dead Redemption was a thing when this program was introduced. I actually have bought Gun digitally on 360, but cannot play it as it is not backwards compatible. I really hope that one gets another chance. It was even an early 360 title too, brought over from GameCube, Xbox, and Ps2.

Re: Talking Point: One Year Later, How Do You Feel About Xbox RPG Avowed?

Deadsea93

Absolutely not and what a waste of my $70 it was. The devs themselves were saying it was going to be their Skyrim in the early days of this game and the early trailers showcased a dark themed fantasy world. I never got far in it due to the annoying bright colored world and how empty it felt. Characters standing still in cities, you couldn't harm other townspeople, you could steal right in plain view of others without consequences and the voice acting was god awful. A lot of people saying a whole lot of nothing. I was in the crowd that loved The Outer Worlds and even 100%ed+ dlc both Xbox versions. Avowed was made by a separate team at Obsidian and I will now avoid anything else that the team makes.
