@ZYDIO if you do buy a new game on disc disconnect your Xbox from the internet and try and play it. If it plays then great you OWN the game. If it doesn’t work and says it needs a download send it back because it’s defective as long as it doesn’t say prominently on the product description page for online orders or on the FRONT cover if bought in a shop that requires an internet connection. I’ve sent plenty of games back because if this.
I haven’t watched your video but I bet you didn’t mention that in order to play it on day one it’ll cost £35 extra. The peasants that don’t pay up or want to play it via IndiePass don’t get it until day 6. And it’s this blatant cash grab and greed that means I won’t be buying it at all.
Xbox proving time and again that they have no idea how to develop a good game. All they know what to do is buy companies that do know how to make games.
@ZuneTattooGuy I don’t buy anything digital. Music, Movies/TV Shows and games. I like to own my things and not have to worry about it being taken away in the future. Also if a game doesn’t include the whole thing on the disc it is very easy to get a refund unless it says on the front cover that a download is required. Rear cover doesn’t count.
So on the day Xbox starts shutting down stores I won’t be affected at all.
@RIghteousNixon The game launches on September 1st. But for 5 days it’s locked behind an additional £35 paywall. The game is done and out on September 1st, that’s it’s launch day. But if you only pay £70 or plan to play it on GamePass you have to wait until September 6th.
@ValentineMeikin PlayStation gets more games because it outsells the Xbox 7:1. It’s obviously going to get more content because that’s where the money is.
And I suppose buying multi-billion dollar companies to keep games off PlayStation and changing contracts to block PlayStation version of games despite saying “we will honour all existing contracts” isn’t aggressive at all is it? Microsoft are a disgusting organisation.
If I didn’t own them all on their original consoles I’d say this was utter bs that Xbox gets more choice than PlayStation. They are originally PlayStation exclusives.
If the Series S is the “base console” then oh dear. The One X could put out better visuals than its apparent successor can. No wonder Xbox games run at 30fps.
I’m not sure why people think this is going to happen. Microsoft themselves said if the FTC was granted their injunction the deal was dead. The injunction was granted.
@Thenewguy I haven’t touched my Switch in months and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Nintendo have appear to be mostly MIA which would strongly suggest a new system from them is imminent. Probably next Spring.
Nooooooo! Have they not seen the ***** show that is Gran Turismo 7 with its always-online requirement?
What happens in a few years when the game is delisted and the servers go away? Forza games don’t live very long before being delisted. You can’t even buy Forza 7 anymore.
I finally have some games to look forward to playing on my Series X. Speaking as a lifelong PlayStation gamer I must say the PS Showcase was very lacklustre but the Xbox Showcase was amazing. My Series X might even get more use than my PS5 this fall.

Phil and Xbox are a joke.

Re: Phil Spencer: Sony Uses Revenue From Our Games To Reduce Xbox's 'Survival In The Market'
@Jenkinss It’s Xbox’s own fault the PlayStation outsells them so much. They have a £470 console with no exclusive games. No wonder nobody buys them.
So to spend $77 billion on two publishers just to hurt Sony is pathetic and reeks of desperation.

So yeah he’s was very accurate.

@Scummbuddy 99% of people are buying this for MGS 1-3.

Re: Xbox Boss Promises To Keep Call Of Duty On PlayStation (Again)
He also promised time and time again that they didn’t buy Bethesda to make their games Xbox exclusive. The man is liar. Nothing more.

Re: Microsoft Announces Price Increases For Xbox Series X And Xbox Game Pass
“These Game Pass price adjustments are not related to the Activision Blizzard deal”
No they’re not. It’s terribly convenient timing that Starfield and Forza Motorsport are only a few months away though.
I just can’t justify £12.99 a month for IndePass Ultimate.

They should lower the graphical quality to hit 60fps. Frame rate is so much more important than graphical fidelity.

GamePass has been a bit of a let down lately. Good to know things will soon get a lot better.
