SCUF Gaming is the latest company to have announced new Xbox controllers specifically for the Series X and Series S today (although they work with Xbox One as well), and unlike many other third-party controllers, they're wireless too.
The Xbox SCUF Instinct and Instinct Pro include features such as removable faceplates, profile switching, self-lubricating rings for the thumbsticks, the ability to mute your headset from your controller and more.
"SCUF Instinct incorporates all of the innovative features gamers expect from SCUF – including the patented paddle control system that helped make SCUF controllers the premier choice of competitive players everywhere – with an evolved controller design to improve performance for Xbox fans.
Both Instinct and Instinct Pro include four embedded back control paddles, which can be programmed to replicate the ABXY buttons. Their refined ergonomic shape enables better control for a wide variety of hand sizes, with millions of customization options to suit all gamers including interchangeable faceplates, thumbsticks, and D-pads."
The difference with the Instinct Pro compared to the standard Instinct is that you also get adjustable Instant Triggers, eliminating the trigger pull and activating immediately with a one-tap motion (similar to a mouse click), and it also comes with High-Performance Grip "with a comfortable, non-slip feel for extended gaming sessions".
The two controllers can also be customised with "millions of design combinations", packed with a wide variety of faceplates, thumbstick variations and trim colors to choose from. You can truly make it your own!
Be aware the two controllers aren't cheap though, as the SCUF Instinct starts at $169.99 and the Instinct Pro starts at $199.99. As of now, they are only available to purchase exclusively on the SCUF Gaming website.
“With SCUF Instinct, gamers have a new advantage when playing on Xbox Series X|S. We’ve refined the way we deliver SCUF performance controllers, with a new form-factor that will appeal to an even wider range of gamers and hand sizes. Four Embedded Back Paddles, Instant Triggers, and a new thumbstick design combine to make our most reactive controller to date."

These look like a good alternative to the Elite controller.
I have the original Elite, I'd consider one of these before the new one right now.
That pro version looks sweet. I have the Scuf Vantage for PS4 and had no problems with it, really nice pad. I like how they use an official one as the base and then modify it rather than using third party shells and components. Will definitely pick one of these up.
I thought the grey looked nice then lost all interest when I saw the price...I ain't paying over £100 for a controller...infact I ain't paying over £50
Just ordered a Pro. My Elite 2 is dying and those mouse button like trigger stops will be perfect for Halo and BF 2042.
P2W. Lump these controllers in with the mouse and keyboard players. I really like cross play and having a balance but it’d be nice to play with people that have your set up once in awhile. Standard controller, standard software. But anything for an advantage and people will pay for it. Glad I can stomp on kids and poor people and call them noobs. Makes my day.
$200 for a modded stock controller. Gotta love scuf. Makes elite2 look like a bargain, and that's just sad. Though Bluetooth support on elite 2 is abysmal.
Their upgrades are nice. The rings, paddles, and the rubber they use on sticks it's great. But the price they charge for a literal modded stock controller is insane.
I'm failing to see how that SCUF Instinct Pro at £190 justifies that price over the Elite Series 2 at £160?
@Halucigens P2W? Such a short sighted opinion. I don't play multiplayer games and I'm not paying for advantage. In my case it's pay to play in relative comfort. As a gamer with chronic arthritis in my hands those trigger stops and paddles are an absolute godsend.
@Shigurui that’s truly a shame you have to pay over 100 bucks more for your accessibility. But my comment is strictly referring to multiplayer. Glad you can still play in relative comfort.
@Halucigens It is what it is price wise, I'm just glad these things exist. I can see why they could annoy in online games but just wanted to point out that for players like myself and many others the reasons for owning one isn't about having an advantage over people at all. Happy gaming man!
@Shigurui definitely. I didn’t even think about your aspect of it. Happy gaming!
Not for me but sounds like a great option to the elite 2. I imagine it has all the reduced latency of the new controller and it's less expensive than the E2 with back buttons.
@Krzzystuff It's not much less than the E2, and is actually $10 more if you want trigger locks.... I love the ergonomics of the new controllers, but I'm not sure, other than the Scuf name, why anyone would pay more for a modded stock controller than an E2. Unless you rely on Bluetooth where the E2 is close to broken garbage. It looks like they basically borrowed E2 parts, threw them onto a modded E1 and raised the price tag. I've always assumed Scuf was the OEM for the Elite parts given the close parts sharing relationship they have with them, and the fact that they seem to have manufacturer level access to the shells and anaogues of both PS and MS.
