The only way Sony can compete with Game Pass is to put PS exclusives on there on day 1. Sony won’t do that as it’d cost too much money. Most PS AAA exclusives sell millions more than Xbox exclusives ever have.

@JayJ i think they’re fun, relaxing if you want a break from all the action. Try Unpacking, it’s on Game Pass. You unpack boxes in new houses an put things away. Sounds boring but it’s actually really good.

It’s an arcadie racing game. It wouldn’t be as appealing if for the first 15 hours you’re stuck with a Golf GT. if you want realism and gradual progression get a PS5 an try Gran Turismo 7. You start off with a small amount of cash an have to buy a used car to start with, enter small events, do ya car up, save for another used car, enter slightly bigger events an go from there until ya can afford brand new Ferrari’s an wat not an enter big, pro races.

@Medic_Alert i hope you’re right, like i said, i own both machines. I’m not a PS fan or an Xbox fan, i’m a gaming fan. Those bigger numbers will surely come in to play somewhere tho. I mean if i’m right Xbox could simply release a new, updated extended SSD in the future.

@Dezzy70 PS5 is not louder at all. I have both side by side an they’re both silent. PS5 is taller but slimmer, i actually like tho look of the PS5 wen it’s stood verticle, XSX looks better horizontal. Also the extended SSD in the PS5 is way ahead of extended SSD in XSX. The PS5 SSD has a Read Bandwidth of 5.5 GB/s (Raw) and 8-9 GB/s (Compressed), while the SSD in the Xbox Series X|S has a Read Bandwidth of 2.4 GB/s (Raw) and 4.8 GB/s (compressed). They’re identical for now but PS5 SSD will cope much better in 2 to 3 years time.

@lokozar i’m speaking about through my own eyes. Not some technical genius eyes who zoom in an highlight small things. I remember a few months back, digital foundry did s vid highlighting how the PS5 performs better than the XSX in numerous games. I couldn’t see a difference until they froze the screen, zoomed in an highlighted wat they were taking about. The difference during gameplay was minute, not really noticeable.

@Raffles mate, there’s about 1.5 TF more on Series X. That’s not even noticeable. For instance look at the Series S, that’s about 4.5TF an the difference between the S and X is very small.

@Raffles @Raffles i have both and both are identical in game. Both have their plusses. Sony offers developers less compute units at a variable an higher clock rate to extract better performances from the machine. Valhalla for instance suffers screen tearing an dips in fps on Series X, not so on PS5. The PS5’s SSD is better. PS5 handles frame rates much better than Series X too. Then there’s the exclusive games which PS is way in front with! I have both an both are fantastic but the PS5 is the better console.

@awp69 it does, it includes every backwards compatible game. There are about 2800 Xbox One games, and bout 630 Xbox 360 games.

@Raffles it isn’t faster or quieter at all. I have them both side by side an both are pretty silent. The PS5 actually loads a lot of games faster but only like a few seconds, nothing to gloat about. As for backwards compatibility the PS5 has over 4000 PS4 games that work on PS5. Series X has about 3200 old Xbox games that are compatible. It’s a little smaller i’ll give you that. Altho i do actually like how the PS5 looks when it’s stood vericle with the black panels.

@Shigurui really? I didn’t know that. I sometimes switch to the view where ya can just see the bonnet of the car an. The clouds an buildings reglections look like ray tracing. And in some old cars, in first person, you can see the reflection of the steering wheel in the wind screen. Never seen that in other car games.

@OliverOwen not always. The PS5 version of Demon’s Souls is incredible. I’m also 100% confident the remake of Knights of the Old Republic will be incredible. If done right they work.

@Bleachedsmiles FH5 is very much like FH4 gameplay wise. It looks nicer, the ray tracing is fantastic and it’s great at 60fps. The map is also better imo with more varied scenery an terrain. But they play very similar. I think it’s fantastic but i also liked FH4.

@Kidfunkadelic83 you should buy a PS5 an get Gran Turismo 7 in March. I do like FH5, it’s fantastic but i think GT7 will be incredible if you wan’t realism.

This gen is my first ever Xbox so only played FH4 an 5. They’re very similar in gameplay but the graphics do look better on XSX, the ray tracing looks incedible, it’s distracted me an caused me to crash a couple er times. The map in FH5 is better with more varied scenery an terrain altho there doesn’t seem to be as much trffic in free roam. Overall i’d say FH5 is the better of the two simply cos it’s next gen, it looks better an is great at 60fps.

I totally agree with this review!! Riders Republic is an incredible game! So much fun. I said it myself, it’s basically Forza Horizon on bikes, skis, jetpacks, etc.

Series X is my first ever Xbox, Forza Horizon 4 is prob my fav Xbox game. Hyped for this and Gran Turismo too for PS5. Will be interesting to see which is better!!

It’s definitely up there. I’d def put TLOU 1 an 2 and Uncharted 4 above it tho. RDR2 is def on par with it.

@Richnj Alan Wake looks good, i’ll prob try it. Like i said, the first games just have that something extra. TLOU story for example is incredible! It really does tug at your emotions. It’s very dark, very violent an brutal, unnerving at times. It also gives you opinions about certain scenarios an characters, only to then completely change that opinion. On to of that the gameplay, the graphics, the performance is AAA! A masterpiece.
GTA5 is a funny one, it’s a masterpiece in it’s own right, however it’s so old and since it’s release Red Dead 2 has surpassed it. RDR2 is more immersive, you can pretty much interact with every character ya come across, you build a reputation, good or bad, people remember you and react to you accordingly. So yes, i’d still say GTA5 is a masterpiece but GTA6 will surpass it.

@Bleachedsmiles it’s not just about graphics this gen tho. The PS pro is a fantastic machine and still has incredible graphics. TLOU 2 is one of the most stunning games. The jump in graphics this gen is the smallest jump we’ve ever seen. Looking at pictures online it can be hard to see much difference. When you actually see them running there’s def an improvement tho. Demon’s Souls could def be done on PS pro an it’d also look beaut, there’d def be a difference tho.

@Richnj i’ve never played that one. The games that, imo, can be called master pieces are TLOU 1 an 2, Uncharted 2, 3 an 4, God of War 2018, Horizon Zero Dawn, Ghost of Tsushima, Demon’s Souls, Spiderman an Miles, Red Dead 2, GTA5 in it’s day. Then there’s games like Ratchet, Returnal, Days Gone that are incredible games but just fall short of the masterpiece title.
