I don't think any of them are under rated, but if I was to choose one, it'd be the OG Xbox. Just due to the dominance of the PS2 and Wii at the time it was overlooked by many. The original controller was also too big for anything other than adult male hands so it wasn't a great fit for kids or lady gamers (unless they've got man hands) I think a lot of people went for the PS2 partly because of DVD playback as well (DVD players were expensive when it came out) if MS had included that, it would have made a big difference rather than having to buy the dongle attachment to go with it.
@pip_muzz MS won't be going anywhere in the console market. The main reason they lag behind in sales is due to the strength of Sony and Nintendo's performance in the far east where MS are weaker.
@Gamer83 Do you tend to buy multi-platform games for the xbox? What makes you decide that way? More friends with xboxes? I find the only real difference between the two is the ps5 pad. Its a lot better than the xsx one... the adaptive triggers are gamechangers and the touchpad is great too.
@StylesT Which ones? If you look at most top 100 games of the last 10 years, there's hardly any xbox exclusives in it. I've owned both Sony and MS systems since the original xbox was released and am no fan of either in particular but the Playstation exclusives tend to live up to their hype more than the xbox ones imo. God of War, Uncharted series, Last of us 1 and 2, Days Gone, Spiderman, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon... all spectacular games. Death Stranding, Detroit become human, Gravity Rush, Little Big Planet, Persona series... all very well reviewed and loved (just not by me) but as far as Xbox exclusives go, I can only think of Gears, Forza Horizon and Halo series. I enjoyed Quantum Break and I know Sea of Thieves has its fans, but there are a lot more quality exclusives on the Sony console
Anyone saying Horizon isn't as good as touted is simply wrong. Opinions obviously vary but to say it's not great is just incorrect.
I'll be getting Dying Light but not sure is it'll be on xsx or ps5... waiting to see how it uses the PS5 controller as thats the only difference between the 2 systems but it's a big difference and microsoft have missed a trick there. I'll be getting Horizon Forbidden West as well.
@InterceptorAlpha You know that like most new items, the majority of those sold will be to scalpers for resale. Not many people outside of the serious collectors will be holding a significant amount of carts like you, the success of something like this would only drive up the prices of carts, the desirable games are already silly prices.
I can't think of many Gameboy games I would want to go back to. Tetris was the best game on the system. There are dozens of handhelds that will play Gb, GbA and GbC games perfectly through emulation. Why choose this one where you still have to buy the carts?
Looks good and sounds good. I think this is the kind of small developer game that Gamepass was made for... similar to the likes of Remnant I think it'll have 3-6mths of retail sales before heading to Gamepass to find a bigger audience. There's plenty of AAA stuff due in the next few months to keep me busy til then.
I played Halo on a kiosk in my local games shop on my dinner hour and was blown away. I went back and played it for 3 or 4 days in a row before buying my first OG Xbox from there on payday that week. Owned an xbox every day ever since. It was a while though before I was wowed again... I had a Dreamcast at the time and the games for that were on par or superior to the xbox ones in and around the launch year
@UltimateOtaku91 Why would they put more effort in? They want people to upgrade to gamepass so when the GWG games aren't great, it will no doubt influence a few to take up Ultimate instead.

Re: Xbox Destroys Haters In Response To Pride Controller Criticism
Regardless of the sentiment behind it, I think its pretty hideous... but thats just my opinion and I will neither buy it or lose sleep over it!
Re: Xbox Destroys Haters In Response To Pride Controller Criticism
@CaptainCluck ha ha ha no, they'll take it outside and stone it.

Re: Review: Rogue Legacy 2 - An Xbox Console Exclusive You Don't Want To Miss
@Phantom_Anima the only reason it failed was Sony's greed in using a new type of memory card. If they had gone with micro SD, it would have been huge
Re: Review: Tunic - This Zelda-Esque Adventure Was Worth The Wait
@PhhhCough they don't give it to gamepass for nothing. MS will pay them ample for it.
Re: Review: Tunic - This Zelda-Esque Adventure Was Worth The Wait
@PhhhCough it's on gamepass, why would you buy it?
Re: Rumour: Here Are Your Xbox Games With Gold For March 2022
Nothing there for me. The PS ones are so much better, yet again.
Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Are Saying About Dying Light 2
yeah but the worst score comes from that well respected video games bible "The Guardian" so wouldn't put much stock in that score.

Re: These Seven Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (January 20-31)
@Alduin its nothing like the dark souls style games whatsoever. It's more like the old Zelda games but a bit tougher.
Re: Roundup: Here's What's Coming To Xbox In January 2022
@thenewguy Ditto. That'll trump anything the Xbox has to offer for Q1 of 2022
Re: Xbox's New '20 Years Of Play' Trailer Hits Us Right In The Feels
A female gamer. Imagine that.

Re: Random: Even Team Xbox Is Admiring The New Analogue Pocket
@InterceptorAlpha fair enough but you'll be a rare exception to the rule, this just feels like its about 10 years too late to me.

Rocksteady have never put a foot wrong IMO so really looking forward to the Justice League game. Not seen anything of the other before.

Re: Microsoft Rewards: Earn 1000 Easy Points With These Xbox Punch Cards
Another easy one is to water the plant in the bedroom in Twelve Minutes. Only takes about 3-4 mins from the start... worth 80pts too!
Re: These 15 Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (August 5-17)
Nobodies talking about Curse of the Dead Gods. Its quality. I bought it on release a month or two back.
Re: Pick One: Which Of These Xbox Olympics Games Is Your Favourite?
Track and Field - PS1
Hyper Sports - ZX Spectrum
Track and Field - arcade
Konami 88 - arcade
All better than those three.
Re: Review: Death’s Door - This Xbox Console Exclusive Is A 2021 GOTY Contender
@masofdas Gamepass has turned 80% of the xbox gamers into tightarse scroungers.

Re: Guide: All Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks You Can Claim In July 2021
@Krzzystuff it might be ok for kids, but its straight trash otherwise
Re: Guide: All Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks You Can Claim In July 2021
@Krzzystuff thats probably about how long you'll play it for too, its shocking.
Re: Talking Point: We're Halfway Through The Year, What's Your Favourite Game So Far?
Outriders and I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting NFS Hot Pursuit. Need a new Burnout game now made by the same team
Re: Here Are Your Xbox Games With Gold For July 2021
I'll always give the retro stuff a go so will grab Midway Arcades, Planet Alpha looks a bit different so will try that too
Re: These Games Are Coming To Xbox This Week (June 29 - July 2)
@The_New_Butler Do you think its going to enhance the experience significantly?
I'm still waiting to see what we're getting on GWG... will I actually download any of them for the first time in months?!
Re: Video: Here’s Your First Look At Battlefield 2042, Arriving This October

Re: Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Quarantine Is Now 'Rainbow Six Extraction'

Re: Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (May 6-9)
@Luigi_Skywalker its clearly a dreadful cash-in on the popularity of the show!
