Spirit of the North was a playstation exclusive. Glad its on xbox now
I’ve already Pre-ordered Zombies Ate My Neighbors for my Xbox Series S!!! I can’t wait to play the Masterpiece again! I highly recommend Zombies Ate My Neighbors, if you’ve never played it before, it’s an Incredible Game!
@The_New_Butler Do you think its going to enhance the experience significantly?
I'm still waiting to see what we're getting on GWG... will I actually download any of them for the first time in months?!
@The_New_Butler man it's always disheartening to see people talk about their bad experience regarding doom eternal. I'm gonna try Eternal this week after the update for the first time and I'm hoping for a similar experience I had with the 2016 version. Is there a particular reason why you couldn't get into eternal? Might be worthwhile for me to try and evade that.
On another note, I hope to see Judgment on gamepass before they release the sequel.
@Cherip-the-Ripper I can't quite put my finger on it, but I can't really get into Doom Eternal. I think I'm about a third of the way through and am planning on having another go once the new update hits. I've enjoyed bits of what I've played, but it hasn't really gelled with me.
Although it may just be me, as I wasn't as enamoured with Doom 2016 as everyone else seemed to be, and I think I have an issue with Bethesda games in general; there's always something that turn me off, whether it's Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Dishonored, Evil Within, Rage... They're all games I feel I should enjoy, but I just can't, and I can't put my finger on why!
@Cherip-the-Ripper I'm also in the camp of couldn't get in to it. I absolutely loved Doom 2016 but the mindless fun I had with 2016 just seems missing from Eternal. There's more thinking involved with the combat sequences, having to use specific weapons and mods to take down enemies, having to set enemies on fire before killing them for armour. I miss shooting things in the face with whatever weapon I am holding then punching them when they start flashing 😂😂 I know this is still possible in Eternal but it's not the way it was designed
Never finished Eternal so might give it another go with its new lick of paint.
@The_New_Butler I'm glad I'm not the only who feels this way. Eternal should have been the perfect sequel by just improving on everything but it lost the fun factor for me.
@The_New_Butler just talking about 2016 puts a smile on my face. I'm gonna give Eternal another go but feel I may just install 2016 for another blast. I need something to tide me over until The Ascent. Just finishing a Dishonored playthrough as I finished Death of the Outsider last week and never played the DLC for the first one, they bridge the gap nicely between 1 and 2 and wish I had played them the first time round.
I really, really, really, wish Doom Eternal has M&K support on Xbox. That is game that would definitely benefit from the precision of a M&K. I tried to play Doom Eternal with a controller on my XSX, but failed miserably. I've never used a console as my primary gaming platform - was always a PC boy - but now that my PC is outdated, and I am using my XSX as my primary gaming platform, it's going to take some getting used to to play such games as Doom with a controller.
Blaster Master is a, erm, blast!
@PapaGlitch wow, it's really sad to hear that. I feel like most of Bethesda's IPs are overlooked in favor of their fallout/eso games. I hope someday you'll be able to enjoy those games on a replay.
Thanks for the explanation, @SacredPYRO and @The_New_Butler. The whole specific guns thing seems a bit off for DOOM, whilst I would like to trust id software to be able to make it seem very fluid when playing it seems like they didn't deliver. Looks like I'll be putting my fast paced shooting hopes into the new shadow warrior game then 😌
@Cherip-the-Ripper I know, it's tragic. Where's my Live Aid? I'm sure I'll be won round eventually; I'll certainly give Starfield a crack. I just can't muster the same enthusiasm for them as everyone else does, but I think that's just my issue
@Cherip-the-Ripper by all means give it a go, especially if you have game pass. I'd hate to put someone off from at least trying a game just because of my opinion. There's obviously a lot of people out there who love it and the review scores for it were great. I'm having fun with D&D Dark Alliance and the reviews for that were pretty bad, each to their own.
@SacredPYRO oh don't worry it's not like that at all, I downloaded the update today because I'm intent on trying it out either way. I get what you're saying about the D&D game as well. I expected it to be painfully average after everything I had watched and I still think it is and could've been done a lot better. But it's fun to play regardless. Got quite a few lotr vibes from it so that might be why.
