That's great news! Although, personally i am not really interested on these square titles, i am really happy that some friends of mine or xbox owners will have now access to these titles. Now, let's see if the internet will keep the same negative energy for PS as it did for Xbox now that PS lost in a night all these exclusives.
There are many good games right now out there and Xbox has the luxury to filter out some bad ones or some shovelware and add some more good games instead of everything. There are many good indie games already on GP, plus soon ABK games are coming to the service, plus some other of their games, plus some AA or AAA third party titles. It's good to say no sometimes, and add some good quality indie titles instead of everything. I don't see a problem on that.
It's a win win for xbox. Xbox doesn't need to do anything, in my opinion. They have the games. This ps5 pro version looks to me that it has this "sony fragrance" on it, that sony has lately with their products. No matter how good the hardware will be, i think it's destined to fail. Look at other hardware than sony released recently. PSVR2 ? They official paused the production. PS Portal? Haven't heard anything about it lately. New ps headphones? Dualshock elite for 250 €/$ ? Most people need many and good games to play to affordable prices. Also, in previous gens the middle - gen consoles sold only a smaller percentage of the total market sales which proves that. Gamers don't need extra hardware with no new games. There are some hardcore fans that are going to buy it or even "kill" their "old" ps5 on ebay or other marketplaces first and then buy it to have the best hardware which probably will play for 99% of the games the same version as the base ps5 version, cause most developers and studios won't even bother releasing another version of their game for the pro version. It's good though for people owning an xbox and looking for a ps5 because they want to play some of their exclusives, cause if and when this pro version is released, there will be some people selling their used ps5 base models very cheap.
I actually really enjoyed the game. It's my GOTY for 2023. I did all the achievements also and i am excited for its first DLC. I don't understand the hate this game is getting. Also, even the game is getting some awards, people feel the need to downgrade them. Why is that? I wonder. Most probably because some people expected something else from game and wasn't their cup of tea (which is absolutely fine) or because negative news are giving more clicks i guess, and that's why many sites/reviewers were bashing the game? I saw people playing this game for 400+ hours in steam and left a negative review. How is this possible to play a game for so long if you don't like it? I would have dropped it max in the first 10 hours if i didn't like it. That's why i don't trust reviews, most of them are either biased towards/against a platform or based on subjective opinion. More or less, why should i? I had over 2 thousand hours of gaming in 2023 (i guess much more than the average reviewers), i can make my own opinion. If i like a game i play it, that's it.
Very successful. Got 4 let's say bigger games like Hi-Fi Rush, Redfall, Starfield, Forza Motorsport and a ton of good games in all categories in Gamepass. Had the chance to play Atomic Hear, Wo Long, Lies of P, Fifa 23, Dead Space Remake, Gotham Knight, Jusant, etc. Also, so many day one Releases in GP. So many good indie games (cocoon also best indie of the year candidate). I don't care what everybody says, but even Redfall which had a rough launch is a pretty good game now. I even had friends, life ps fans, buying an xbox for the first time this year to play starfield and they were really happy with it. They found the right path in Xbox, heard the fans' feedback about 2022 and its lack of first party games and i think they are gonna keep rocking hard in 2024.
@Cherip-the-Ripper yeah, you are right about it. 👍 You can play 2 player co-op the main campaign, but only the other mode 4 players. But now the progress carries over for the guest also. I don't know if it has to do with one of the latest patches of the game, but the game specifically asked me if i wanted to replay a mission that i have done on my friend's game as a guest or marked it as done and go on
@Rioichi yeah, i don't know at which state the game was, when it was launched. 🤷♂️. I played it after it came to gamepass and it was pretty solid in a technical aspect of view and fun also. I just talked about my experience with the game. But isn't it with most games nowdays that they are released pretty much half-baked and they fixed them afterwards?
Hey Dan! I actually don't agree with you on this one. The game is actually very good! I hesitated at first trying it, cause i read the critics and i thought the same as you. Sure, the game has some technical issues, maybe it's not perfect but is super fun! It also doesn't try to be a new entry in the Arkham series. The game is different. You can play it single-player but also co-op (2 players the main campaign and up to 4 people some other activities). I tried it on gamepass and i liked it so much that i 100% it! Playing solo is super fun, but when a friend joined me, we both had a blast with the game. Sometimes it's better to try a game and have your own opinion.
