Re: Microsoft Shares Initial List Of ROG Xbox Ally Games That Support Advanced Shader Delivery

Telin

Makes me think of the "premium" Xbox PC hybrid they are supposedly working on. I hope this points to them having a better "Xbox" experience on the Rog.

If Microsoft/Xbox is able to somehow keep a console experience seen with their previous consoles while also giving owners the ability to do everything a PC can do, then their next console may be quite interesting.

I have the same hopes others do that the next Xbox could pique the interest of pre-built PC buyers and those who want an aesthetic pleasing box for their living room with less fuss of traditional PCs.

Though we do have Steam Deck among others that are pretty much doing that already.

More competition is good!

@Lup

Agree with you up to the end...

DA: Inquisition was a return to form. Even Dragon Age 2 still had more tactics/party mechanics than DA:V, I'd argue.

The players' party members felt like they had little effect compared to previous game. To me anyhow.

I'd argue the gameplay was better than DA 2(since they are the most alike) and for a game to turn into more of an action RPG, I'd argue they did accomplish that. Gameplay was great and fun, just less "Dragon Age-ish."

It's neither the dumpster fire some claimed it to be nor a great RPG hidden by the YouTube algorithm.

Going from Inquisition(a game that also had some attack it due to politics) to Veilguard is quite a rough ride.

I feel bad for the developers that had to abandon the multiplayer slop it was almost destined to be and somehow salvage what little was left after the 180 sharp right turn dictated by those in upper management.

Re: Microsoft Pulls Xbox Game Pass Trial Ahead Of Starfield Release

@Wheatly It's a game. Saying you need it sounds pathetic.

@Missiletow

He isn't involved in anything remotely close to calling any shots. And he most certainly isn't deciding if a game pass trial is ended or not.

There's a board and CEO and shareholders. It's a corporation. End of story.

@Fishticon Unless Starfield ends up like FO76(and all "journalistst" and new media tubers walking on eggshells when trying to praise it...which is hilarious) there's no chance it'll suddenly stop being talked about in two weeks, let a few years.

I can respect those who aren't fans of BGS games, but their games have a long shelf life. People still discuss Daggerfall up to FO4.

I'm skeptical that SF will be "the most polished" game, but if it is anywhere near similar to Elder Scrolls or Fallout..it'll be talked about for decades.

@sjbsixpack As soon as Americans kicked the British out over taxes...there was a tax rebellion that Washington extinguished. 😆

Then the USA's tax system became progressively worse in so many directions since the 1900s. Add subsidies on top of that, along with tax program companies lobbying Congress, and you got a pile of $#it no one wants to really change. Rearrange with mostly the same blocks? Always. Change? Absolutely not.

@rustyduck I may be wrong, but I don't think things like that would need to be reported unless you got several thousands of dollars in rewards.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I know with crypto some people thought that's how it works, but there are now specific tax laws about crypto.

Haven't heard the same about small rewards(a couple hundred bucks at the most when you redeem your points for GP/gift cards/ etc.).

I have enjoyed VS....but it's an over glorified mobile/web game.

It's "addictive" for sure...."Number go up" then you get some dopamine.

It's why so many mobile games can make gangbusters on microtransactions. VS just removed that shady side of those kind of games.

The Cookie Clicker of console games.

There's many more Indie games that released this year that are less shallow.
