Re: Microsoft Rewards Is Nerfing Its 'Weekly Console Bonus' In The UK

Ricketty_Roll

@jesse_dylan All power to you, Jesse. I'm not knocking anyone who benefits from the reward points, I just don't get the grind for reward points for the sake of it? My post was a little flippant LoL, I just think the reward points are a bonus, not something to grind for as if they are achievements to 100% But, each to their own, I guess.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, How Are You Getting On With Microsoft Rewards In 2024?

Ricketty_Roll

I earn a £5er voucher about once a month, but tbh they are not something I chase. I appreciate what I get and only have time to game for 2-3 hours in the evenings. Play a couple of games, collect my streak points on both the mobile app and console with the odd PC or mobile game and in return I get a £5er discount off a game that's usually heavily discounted to begin with. I hear stories of gamers earning enough to pay for GP subs and even new consoles but I'm not terminally online grinding for rewards like them.

Re: 'STALKER: Legends Of The Zone Trilogy' Debuts To Five-Star Reviews On The Xbox Store

Grabbed the 3rd one in the trilogy only (Call of Pripyat) to get myself acquainted with the IP before the new one drops, having never played them. Yeah it looks, feels and sounds old, which it is, but I can also see myself having fun with it. It doesn't hand hold like newer games tend to and I like that. And at only 6ish Gb it'll sit on my SSD unchallenged when the usual game shuffling happens when I'm trying to make room for additional purchases.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Like The 'Modern' Assassin's Creed Games?

Ricketty_Roll

No. Bought Valhalla upon release along with 2 (I think) DLC's, and recently uninstalled the game to make room for other games. The common complaint is it's too large, which I find bizarre considering the price of the game. For me, it wasn't too large, it was too monotonous. Never even set foot in Paris and have little desire to in the future. I WANT to enjoy AC games like I used to and Valhalla is a beautiful game (though the sprawling skill tree is a ridiculous slight of hand mechanic that tries to fool you it's an RPG) but I think after playing Mirage, the IP has grown stale for me.
It's nice to see it coming to GP though. I'm sure many of gamer will find something to love about the colossal title.

Re: Xbox Fans Call On Bethesda To Delay Redfall Until 60FPS Is Ready

Ricketty_Roll

More than happy to play at 30fps in quality mode as long as it is "quality" and polished for the 30fps release. Personally, I'd only want a delayed release if the game wasn't ready. I suffered through the buggy mess of Cyberpunk from day one and enjoyed it, I think I can handle a polished 30fps game at this point.
