Re: Bethesda Trademarks 'Starborn', Which Could Be The Second Expansion For Starfield

I don't hate it, infact I switched from PlayStation to Xbox as primary console to play Bethesda games.

It was disappointing though, for me.

Bethesda games have always had their "charm" such as the bugs, strange animations and a little lacklustre main quests, but they always found a way of creating a sandbox I wanted to "play my own game" in for hours and hours.

I still play Skyrim and Fallout 4 despite never finishing the main quests because I love just jumping in and doing what Bethesda did best: creating a massive curated map you wanted to explore.

Starfield, lost a lot of that for me. There was more to see visually, but because of the cut and paste dungeons, it didn't feel like I wanted to keep seeing the same base on a different planets. I didn't find any of the main planets particularly interesting to explore either.

The main story quest I enjoyed and finished though, the concept was really good and lent itself to multiple play-throughs; It's just playing the game itself wasn't as much fun as Skyrim or Fallout 4.

Infact, I wish the new game+ had more subtle differences and they'd have gone more nuts with the idea.

So I don't hate the game, I played it through, enjoyed the experience and felt I more than got my money's worth. It's just Bethesda didn't nail the one thing they always do well (desire to and having fun exploring crafted environments, even after you've already seen them) in a game they had a really good idea and concept for and that's a shame. I thought I'd be playing Starfield for years, but I can't see myself playing it again.

Thanks,

Totally agree, it's what all companies do in western capitalism; alternate between pretending they are akin to "a poor widdle company just trying to do a widdle business" to the government in one situation while trying crush other companies who use the "just a poor widdle company" defense themselves.

I can't believe the amount of people who try and frame Microsoft/Nintendo/Sony as cuddly good guys, and the others as the fist of Satan when they are all as bad as each other.
