I for one love traveling from planet to planet in No Man's Sky. Space travel feels so meaningless in Starfield, it's basically an extra loading screen.
Bethesda could add a few derelict ships, more pirates to fight and other things that give reason to travel in space.
@Markatron84 I agree with you. I think it's a case of opinion overcorrection.
At release it was hailed as a perfect game with perfect narrative by many critics and fans.
Some internet critics noticed and started to point some of the flaws in the game logic and gameplay, calling the game repetitive, some of them even going as far as saying the story was nonsensical.
In my opinion the truth lies in the middle. It's a game that had many ambitions and it couldn't realise all of them, but it has a solid story and gameplay loop.
It also stood the test of time even in its visuals, which is not easy for a seventh gen game.

Re: Xbox Is Offering A Discount On Refurbished Consoles In The UK Right Now
I bought my Series X almost new for £225. A lot of people are selling their Xboxes here in the UK because they don't see the value in it.
Fortunately I do. Its backwards compatibility is amazing and some games run better on Series X when compared to the PS5.
Re: Battlefield 6 Dev Says Working On Xbox Series S Improved The Entire Game
@TrollOfWar Thanks for the answer, it clarified a lot of questions I had about the Series S and this gen.
Also your profile pic is perfect to represent someone with an unbiased opinion haha
Re: Battlefield 6 Dev Says Working On Xbox Series S Improved The Entire Game
Some people say that the Series S hindered the potential of this gen while others say it helped with making better optimised games.
As someone without much technical knowledge, I'm genuinely curious which is the truth, without bias or console war mentality.
Maybe it's a bit of column A and a bit of column B?
Re: Four Xbox 360 Racing Games Potentially Closing Their Servers In March 2026
As long as they're playable offline it's not a big deal.
We all know games preservation is about keeping games playable, not online.
Re: Shemnue 3 To Make Xbox Debut With 'Enhanced' Version For Series X|S
@johnK The Shenmue games are basically predecessors in every single way to the Yakuza franchise, and I don't mean it in a good way.
Clunky combat mechanics, boring sidequests, wooden voice acting.
You might find something you like, but you have to go with the mindset of playing a 20 year old clunky game, and that counts even for Shenmue 3.
Exclusive to Shenmue 3 is that the plot barely moved forward from 2 and left even the hardcore fans disappointed.
Re: Ex-PlayStation Exec Still Not Convinced By 'Dangerous' Xbox Game Pass Model
There are positives and negatives, but it really looks like posturing considering Sony does the exact same thing with PlayStation Plus.
The difference is Game Pass offers day one releases, so it charges more for it's ultimate service.

Re: Report: Starfield PS5 Port Planned For Spring 2026 Alongside New Expansion
It's a very solid game that has some major flaws mostly due to creation engine limitations.
It really didn't deserve the hate it got, but the expectation for Bethesda games is either release the best game of all time, or it's not good enough.
Hopefully with the PS5 release more people will actually give it a chance.
