Damn…. What a meh list. Back to either Borderlands 4 or Ghost of Yotei for me this month

@themightyant Planet of Lana was so good. I actually like it more than Inside and Cocoon.

Lost interest in the first Planet of Lana midway, already own Cyberpunk 2077, and have no interest in Formula 1 past listening to the guitar solo from Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain'. So I guess I'm constructing some things?

Planet of Lana 2 is more than enough for me, and for those who haven’t played Cyberpunk yet, that’s also a great addition. And FIFA is simply one of the most‑played games in the world. Not my cup of tea, but it’ll definitely please millions of players. Hollow Knight Silksong, already played it, but it’s also an amazing game for Premium subscribers.
The people who complain all the time don’t really realize it. And honestly, for those with very narrow and very selective tastes: don’t subscribe to Game Pass, guys. Just buy the 2–3 games you like each year, but don’t come here ruining it for others who have more open and eclectic tastes, right @Fiendish-Beaver?

@fatpunkslim It's EA Sports F1 here, not EA Sports FC. Not quite the same level of following (to put it lightly), but there's still a decently sized market for it.

Cyberpunk 2077 is fantastic now, but it's one of those games that most people already own or have played.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is the real highlight here, and funnily enough deserves more fanfare than a shadow drop.

The rest of the line up is super underwhelming though. Outside of the XBox Game Studios titles, it's becoming tough to justify the price of Game Pass. It's getting to the point where it may end up like the UbiSoft subscription service; worth subbing for a month once in a while to blast through the titles you're interested in, then skip it.
And let's be clear here, I'm not inferring that PS Plus is by any means better.

My Game Pass Ultimate expired today. The end of 3 years of the legendary 1:1 Gold to Ultimate conversion deal. All good things come to an end eventually and that’s it, game over now.

I’ve bought some stackable codes for Essential and I’ll think I’ll just stick with that tier for now. I don’t see much point to Ultimate when the majority of games I play either aren’t on the service or get added years later.

If the prices hadn’t risen so much within the past few years I’d have stacked it again, but it’s got to the point where I can’t justify the cost anymore for how little I actually use it.

@Fiendish-Beaver I stacked GP until April next year and I will be using it to play the (hopefully) upcoming Xbox Game Studios, then after that I will probably cancel.
In the last few months I have been enjoying going back to playing games I actually own (crazy right?!) and it feels like I have been freed from this imaginary guilt of "I must play as many games as possible on GP as I have paid for it!", even though I have never paid full price for it in about 5 years!
In hindsight, stacking was not a great idea but we live and learn

I also have PS Plus premium running which I will never cancel as I am grandfathered into a £65 per year deal! 😂

Honestly premium is where it’s at again this month.

@Fiendish-Beaver haha I know the feeling, they really know how to play into those addictive compulsions with the Rewards quests! I feel sad that my rewards streak is ending, but logically I’d be spending exponentially more keeping my subscription active than I’d get back in points. Have to look at the bigger picture.

I’m like you, I’ve found myself mostly ignoring the game pass library in recent years in favour of my owned games library. The problem I find with game pass is it’s trying to be jack of all trades but ends up being master of none. My favourite genres aren’t well represented in the library because Xbox is trying to appeal to as broad an audience as possible.

How long are you still signed up for?
