If I was MS I'd take the hit and announce a slight price reduction. That would be a generation ending move and damage Sony's prospects in a way that would be almost impossible to recover from.
I still don't understand why everyone is so happy about it. Nothing has changed, Xbox players were all going to get these games anyway. The only thing that's changed is PlayStation players won't get them now.
Gamepass day one is nice I suppose, but they would've all gone there eventually too probably.
I'm probably making a big mistake by commenting on here as someone who primarily choses Nintendo and Sony as my platforms, but I really don't get all the excitement from this acquisition. Xbox owners were all going to get to play these games from Zenimax anyway, so what is there to celebrate? Nothing has changed for the Xbox playerbase as far as I can tell.
For the record, I will miss Doom and anything Shinji Mikami makes, but Bethesda hasn't really made anything that interests me for coming on ten years now so it's not really a big loss for me personally. Hopefully Doom will continue to come to Nintendo platforms in the future.

Re: Bethesda Reveals Upgrade Prices For Skyrim Anniversary Edition
This is exactly what Sky did with TV, charge a sub and chuck ads in your face too, and everyone is lapping it up like good little doggies.
I fully expect to see gamepass day ones to become glorified demos with a $60 full game fee eventually. Well done everyone!
