The 1TB cards are still too expensive for me, it has to be at least £100 before I even consider it. Also what is with Amazon saying we’d save £123 with 49% off the Seagate 1TB SSD card? It’s £150 at full price everywhere else. They just trying to pull wool over our eyes to make us think we’d be getting a great deal? Pull the other one Amazon 😒
@AlwaysPlaying I understand thanks for letting me know. I don’t see any SSD cards on sale so I’ll wait for the Cyber Monday sale, if it’s not on sale then either I’ll just buy Arma Reforger.
I’ve just went through the whole list on my Xbox and there’s nothing at all that I want to buy. I think I may just get Arma Reforger as I’ve just finished the 4 hours I had left of the trial. It’s definitely a massive improvement from when it first launched. It’s out of game preview too with its 1.0 update.
@Tasuki I’d like to know this too but for UK. I want the 1TB Seagate but at £150 it’s too much for me. If it was £100 then I’d think about it. Other than one being a SSD expansion card and the other being a portable hard drive, what’s the difference between them? Don’t they all do the same job?
Doesn’t look like I’ll be getting anything in this sale, Hogwarts Legacy £39 with 40% off is still too steep for me, needs to be at least £25 before I consider buying it.
From that trailer it looks like it’s actually a fully finished game that’s out of game preview. When I first played the trial the day it came out in game preview it was very bare bones but it looks fantastic now. Shame it’s not in tomorrow’s Black Friday sale or I’d of probably of bought it.
I ended up pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition for the two extra DLC. It’s such a brilliant game, so many ways to destroy stuff and it’s great to see it all falling apart with the game’s amazing and realistic physics. It’s definitely one of my favourite games of this year. I loved Red Faction Guerrilla for its destruction but Teardown’s is on another level.
@Nightcrawler71 Apparently there is a workaround for games that don’t have an invert Y-Axis option. What you need to do is make a Controller Profile via the Xbox Accessories app with the Y-Axis on the Right Stick inverted.
Then, to easily turn it on and off between playing different games, bring up the Guide, navigate to Profile & System, press the View/Back button, scroll down to Controller Remapping, and toggle it On.
You can also jump straight to the Xbox Accessories app from here by clicking on the Cog next to the toggle.
I got that info word for word from a review of the game on the Xbox Store from someone who goes by the Gamertag name BBIAJ, so credit to him/her.
Only Rollerdrome interests me out of those games so I’ll definitely be trying that out, I loved Jet Set Radio back in the day and this is very similar in style and mechanics.
@FraserG Any word on Teardown? I thought we’d of seen a review of it today or at least some news about it as it’s due out tomorrow.
For a linear-heavy game it’s been in development for an awfully long time. It does look amazing using UE5 and looking forward to playing it day one on Game Pass.
@MetalGear_Yoshi The game is getting a big update next year where you can do missions like transporting cargos, passengers, putting forest fires out etc. When the update is out I’ll download the game again.
If there’s any game out there that justifies you to buy a storage expansion card, this is one of them. I’ll buy a 1TB Seagate one day if it ever goes under £100.
Reading this article and seeing that you can lose all your games has convinced me to enable 2FA and remove my password from my Microsoft account. The Authenticator app is great to use and just now I had to use facial recognition on my iPhone to sign me in on my Xbox. It’s definitely worth adding that extra layer of security for peace of mind, better safe than sorry.
Wow Microsoft/Xbox really have changed in the amount of reward points recently. I get it from their perspective but it’s not great for us. There is barely any incentive to go out of our way to get reward points these days besides the Rewards Weekly Set, daily Bing streak and completing the sets like this weeks Limbo 11 deaths for 250 points. I’ll still do those things as it’s more of a daily routine thing I do now as I first switch on the Xbox but you got to wonder what else are they going to slash in the future?
Absolutely loving the game so far. I’ve put almost 5 hours into it and I’ve only just finished the Invitation chapter as I’ve just been exploring and collecting collectibles.
It does suffer from visual glitches which I’m hoping will be patched over this weekend as I’m ready to get into it again on Monday.
@Fiendish-Beaver That’s one game Metro gave a high score but all I usually see from them is giving critically acclaimed games middling scores.
Balder’s Gate isn’t my kind of game, I’m just not into that type of genre but I can see why it’s been getting all the praise it’s been getting and it’ll be interesting to see if any other game will beat it for GOTY.
@NintendoByNature This will also be my first full priced game on Xbox that I’ll buy this year. If it was on disc I’d of rented it like I do with most other new releases, so Remedy making this digital only has in fact gained a sale from me seeing as there’s no other way for me to play it and I cannot wait for a sale when it’s getting rave reviews across the net. The £50/$60 price is reasonable too, they easily could of charged £60/$70.
@cburg Says a lot about them when the majority of reviews are giving 9s and 10s. I bet we could count on one hand of the games that have received more than 8 from Metro, anyone would think they don’t like video games with the amount of low scores they give out.
I was all set to buy this day one but just the other day I thought if it just gets 7s and 8s across the board then I may just wait for a sale and after several potential patches but nope I’ve changed my mind again and will definitely be buying this tomorrow, can’t wait!
Halo Combat Evolved. I’ve still yet to experience the same feeling I had when I played it for the first time, most likely because I was a kid and was in awe with the game, especially when I landed on the Halo ring planet (second mission).
@Kaloudz I mean you can’t acquire a bigger gaming company than ABK, like you said if no one could stop that then what chance does anyone have at stopping any other future acquisitions?
Sega is heavily rumoured to be the next company that MS will acquire but I doubt we’ll hear about any future acquisitions for at least a couple of years yet. The only company I can see people raising their eye brows at is EA being acquired by MS. Imagine CoD and EA Sports FC, two of the best selling games year after year.
“containing a bunch of fixes for everything from a "washed out" visual glitch to various progression-related problems.”
Hallelujah! The washed out glitch was the reason I uninstalled the game last week, it just made it look absolutely awful. I played Horizon 5 over the weekend since it’s had the Día de Muertos update and I didn’t realise just how bad FM’s washed out glitch was, it was literally a night and day difference in regards to visuals. I’ll install FM again and see if this update has made any difference.
@Kezelpaso Are they new tracks going be free or paid DLC? I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the latter.
I’ve not been impressed with the game overall, especially graphically. It looks washed out as if the brightness is cranked up to max, FM7 honestly looks better.
@Kaloudz The game does seem perfect for GP but since it isn’t joining the service Tuxedo Labs will be getting a sale from me, I’ll just be buying the £24.99 version. I can see myself having a ton of fun with a game like this.
Cheaper than a tub of Ben & Jerry’s and lasts longer too! I’m definitely going to buy it. It’s not the greatest game but it’s well polished and plays decent enough, I enjoyed the campaign from what I’ve played of it. My son who game shares with me will appreciate it more too, it really is a no brainer at £4.49.
Right now I have zero excitement for GTA 6 due to the lack of info about the whole game in general like characters, what new things to expect over GTA V and not having a release date. Also you just know Rockstar are going to put a heavy emphasis on GTA Online 2.0 or whatever it’ll be called. I just hope the story isn’t going to suffer but I fear it won’t be at the quality we come to expect from the series, I really hope I’m proven wrong though.
@Princessmadllama What do you expect from a £480 console? Show me a PC out there for under £500 that can do full 4K @60fps with ray tracing.
I’ll be using Performance RT when I download this. I’ve used that same mode in games like GTA V , Spider-Man Remastered etc it’s the best of both worlds until we get a console powerful enough to get all the bells and whistles at 60fps.
I’m definitely going to buy this but only way I’ll buy day one is if it’s an absolute must have, scoring 10/10 across the board, otherwise I’ll wait for it to drop to at least £30 when it’ll most likely be in a Christmas/New Year sale.
@Foxx_64740 I’ve limited myself to only taking everything that isn’t nailed down that sell for 50 credits or more. Fire extinguisher sells for 105? Don’t mind if I do, hope they don’t have a fire anytime soon! I’m already loving this game. I’m working my way to The Lodge to nab me that suit.
Edit: Here’s a tip, don’t bother looting everything like I did as vendors only have a limited amount of credits to buy the things you sell, also the stuff you do sell is way way less than its value. That fire extinguisher that’s valued at 105 credits? Vendors were offering me 13 measly credits. I’ve cleaned out both vendors in New Atlantis for just over 20K credits and I’m still over encumbered with tons of junk to sell. So stupid of me but lesson learned.
Thanks for the tip @PJOReilly and for all the other tips. I’ll definitely be taking advantage of nabbing the spacesuit before it most likely gets patched.
Quick question, is it worth looting everything in sight to then sell for quick credits? I’m very early in the game, just past the character creation screen.
Hero Worshipped - I think having the Adoring Fan as part of the crew will be great (at least at first) who will be unique with his dialogues and giving you gifts but if he ever annoys me too much then I could always put one in between his eyes and be done with him haha.
Kid Stuff - I feel this adds a bit of a personal touch to your character, being able to visit your parents. Although paying 2% to them whenever I earn credits, I sure hope I can help myself to whatever I want in their house and able to sleep there whenever I visit.
Introvert - Seeing as I’ve always played as a lone wolf in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games I thought this trait would make sense for my play through with this game, I may as well benefit from it once I’m able to explore on my own.
I was thinking of putting Dream Home but GalBank taking $500 credits weekly, which doesn’t pay towards paying the house off has put me off the trait but then I don’t know if $500 is even that much in Starfield and that if I’ll even notice the money is gone if credits are in abundance? But are we really going to be spending much time in these homes when there’s a universe to explore?
Wait so Starfield actually includes real-life planets like Earth, Mars, the Moon etc? I thought all the planets were fictional. I honestly can’t wait for Wednesday to play this.
I’d like hear people’s impressions on the game, I care less for reading reviews from different site’s reviewers, I want to hear from actual fellow gamers and even from the guys here on PureXbox.
I never got round to finishing Skyrim but completed both Fallout 3 and 4 with all their add-ons. Due to family and work, I think I’ll just be mostly exploring and doing the odd mission here and there as the game sounds like it’s massive.
I get why the release times are the way they are around the world so everybody gets to play the game at the same time but I could never be fully immersed into a game of this type at 1am in the morning, bad timing for Europeans but elsewhere are decent. Can’t wait until next Wednesday!
Almost 1000 games discounted? I’m on the Xbox Store right now and it only says 526 under ‘Xbox game specials’. There’s nothing I want that I already own/played. I think most of us are going to be slightly busy with a certain game this weekend 😉
I don’t usually enter stuff like this but I’ve just registered and I’d be over the moon to even make the top 500 as I’m one of those people who never win anything. Here’s hoping my luck changes for once 🤞
I don’t agree with Mark Kern’s comments but even I dislike the grey box background on the menu options. It just screams retro and looks out of place with how clean the rest of the screen looks. I’d personally make the grey boxes completely transparent and an option to get rid of the welcome message if it doesn’t already fade away itself.
Will blast its way onto Game Pass when? That’s all I care about because I’ll never buy an Activision game again now they are all going to be on Game Pass.
I wouldn’t blame PS5/PS4 and Switch owners scoffing at that price, it’s ridiculous when you can get it for under £10 on Xbox when it’s on sale or buying a pre-owned physical copy. Either way I’m glad I’ve got it BC on my Series X. It’s a shame we didn’t get that remaster/remake that we all thought we were going to get.
This is a prime example of the Series S holding back the Series X. Microsoft really need to get rid of the feature parity clause or have dedicated teams to help third party studios to get their games working on Series S as this is down to MS deciding to release a weak spec’d console this gen. As the console generation goes on and with games getting more technical, devs are only going to be able to do what they can to get their games running on the Series S.
I’d want to see how this remaster compares to the One X version before I even consider buying it because the One X version looks good enough in 4K. One improvement that I can see it needing is the game running in the same engine as RDR2 but they would be a remake so that won’t be happening.
Joke aside, I’d love to see Dino Crisis make a comeback as I loved it back in the day. I am enjoying my time with Exoprimal but after a few matches at a time it does become repetitive so I only play a couple each day.
I’m not buying it, I can wait 5 days. We don’t even know how good or how long the expansion is. Plus the base game is going to be huge as it is so I don’t see the need for any expansion so soon after release. Rather play the game for just £7 a month (get my GPU codes from CDKeys) than paying more just to play early or paying £70 to own it.
I’m sure I own one of the Black Ops series but I forgot which one it is.
So for those of us who don’t own all the older CoD titles, we should be hearing about the merger being made official today right? Since it’s deadline day? I thought MS and ABK would of closed it over the weekend just gone. I’m even looking forward to playing the campaigns again from both CoD 2 & 3 once they hit Game Pass.
@trev666 If you’ve been gaming on Xbox and reading Xbox related news for the past 15 years then I don’t get how you could not know who Major Nelson is? He was always popping up on our dashboards during the Xbox One era as well as doing interviews and appearing in numerous videos (can’t remember if he was during Xbox 360 era as well?). I could understand if you’ve only just joined Xbox with the Series generation but to not recognise a prominent figure within the gaming community, let alone Xbox’s who’s been around for over two decades? 🤨
Anyhoo I wish Major Nelson the best in his future endeavours, he’ll be missed and will certainly go down as a legend.
I loved TDU 1&2 back in the day but I honestly didn’t like what I saw of the gameplay reveal of Solar Crown, it looked way too arcadey like a Need for Speed game. I’d say The Crew Motorfest looked a better game despite me being burnt-out with the Forza Horizon series.
@JayJ I also loved how much more detailed and in-depth TDU was, like winding the windows down, putting the convertible roof down, putting on indicators, headlights etc. Not even sure if we can do those things in Solar Crown?
@Kaloudz Once all the games from Activision hit Game Pass it’s just going to make the recent price hike of GPU slightly more justified, I would of kept paying it each month regardless of whether the merger went through or not but seeing as it most likely is now, the value of GPU will just be much more astronomical.
Wow about time, the end is in sight! Now we just need the CMA to get a grip of itself, they are literally the only ones who are being awkward and it will say a lot more about them than ever before.
Just going to nip out and get myself a bag of popcorn for when Pushsquare put up an article about it 🍿 😁

Re: Review: Teardown - A Slick And Addictive Slice Of Voxel Destruction
I ended up pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition for the two extra DLC.

Re: Starfield Release Date, Release Times & Preload Details On Xbox & PC
I get why the release times are the way they are around the world so everybody gets to play the game at the same time but I could never be fully immersed into a game of this type at 1am in the morning, bad timing for Europeans but elsewhere are decent. Can’t wait until next Wednesday!
Re: Xbox 'End Of Summer' Sale Now Live, Almost 1000 Games Discounted
Almost 1000 games discounted? I’m on the Xbox Store right now and it only says 526 under ‘Xbox game specials’. There’s nothing I want that I already own/played. I think most of us are going to be slightly busy with a certain game this weekend 😉
Re: Xbox Reveals Prizes For This Week's Free FanFest Trivia Event
I don’t usually enter stuff like this but I’ve just registered and I’d be over the moon to even make the top 500 as I’m one of those people who never win anything. Here’s hoping my luck changes for once 🤞
Re: Bethesda Exec Responds To 'Unprofessional' Criticism Of Starfield's Menu Screen
Re: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Will Blast Its Way Onto Xbox This November
Will blast its way onto Game Pass when? That’s all I care about because I’ll never buy an Activision game again now they are all going to be on Game Pass.
Re: Rockstar Announces New $50 Port Of Red Dead Redemption, But Xbox Doesn't Need It
I wouldn’t blame PS5/PS4 and Switch owners scoffing at that price, it’s ridiculous when you can get it for under £10 on Xbox when it’s on sale or buying a pre-owned physical copy. Either way I’m glad I’ve got it BC on my Series X. It’s a shame we didn’t get that remaster/remake that we all thought we were going to get.
Re: 'A Short Hike' Is Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (August 3)
@johnK You can smooth out the pixels in the settings to give it a cleaner modern look which is what I did. It’s a great little game.
Re: Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox Version Seemingly Pushed To 2024 Due To Series S 'Technical Hurdle'
Re: Red Dead Redemption Logo Update Fuels Remaster Rumours
I’d want to see how this remaster compares to the One X version before I even consider buying it because the One X version looks good enough in 4K. One improvement that I can see it needing is the game running in the same engine as RDR2 but they would be a remake so that won’t be happening.
Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of 'Exoprimal' On Xbox Game Pass?
@EVIL-C That’s three words? 😉
Joke aside, I’d love to see Dino Crisis make a comeback as I loved it back in the day. I am enjoying my time with Exoprimal but after a few matches at a time it does become repetitive so I only play a couple each day.
Re: Poll: Are You Buying The 'Early Access Upgrade' For Starfield?
I’m not buying it, I can wait 5 days. We don’t even know how good or how long the expansion is. Plus the base game is going to be huge as it is so I don’t see the need for any expansion so soon after release. Rather play the game for just £7 a month (get my GPU codes from CDKeys) than paying more just to play early or paying £70 to own it.
Re: Xbox 360 Call Of Duty Titles See Huge Player Spikes Following Server Update
I’m sure I own one of the Black Ops series but I forgot which one it is.
So for those of us who don’t own all the older CoD titles, we should be hearing about the merger being made official today right? Since it’s deadline day? I thought MS and ABK would of closed it over the weekend just gone. I’m even looking forward to playing the campaigns again from both CoD 2 & 3 once they hit Game Pass.
Re: Major Nelson Announces His Departure From Xbox After 20 Years
@trev666 If you’ve been gaming on Xbox and reading Xbox related news for the past 15 years then I don’t get how you could not know who Major Nelson is? He was always popping up on our dashboards during the Xbox One era as well as doing interviews and appearing in numerous videos (can’t remember if he was during Xbox 360 era as well?). I could understand if you’ve only just joined Xbox with the Series generation but to not recognise a prominent figure within the gaming community, let alone Xbox’s who’s been around for over two decades? 🤨
Anyhoo I wish Major Nelson the best in his future endeavours, he’ll be missed and will certainly go down as a legend.
Re: Soapbox: Test Drive Unlimited Was Special, And I'm Excited For Its Xbox Comeback
Re: Xbox Wins FTC Court Case As Judge Denies Preliminary Injunction
@Kaloudz Once all the games from Activision hit Game Pass it’s just going to make the recent price hike of GPU slightly more justified, I would of kept paying it each month regardless of whether the merger went through or not but seeing as it most likely is now, the value of GPU will just be much more astronomical.
Re: Xbox Wins FTC Court Case As Judge Denies Preliminary Injunction
Wow about time, the end is in sight! Now we just need the CMA to get a grip of itself, they are literally the only ones who are being awkward and it will say a lot more about them than ever before.
Just going to nip out and get myself a bag of popcorn for when Pushsquare put up an article about it 🍿 😁
