I voted for Halo 5, not because it’s my favorite of the three, but because I do love it, and I don’t understand all the hate it gets. And in case anyone wonders, I’m talking about the campaign specifically. I never play multiplayer.
I actually really loved Halo 4, Halo 5, and Halo Infinite, so losing the 343 Studios name is a big bummer for me. I understand why they’re doing it, but I don’t have to like it.
Honestly, I feel like people who can’t see a difference between regular PS5 games and PS5 Pro games need to get their eyes checked, cause the difference seems massive to me. That said, I do not currently plan to get a PS5 Pro, and I agree with the premise of this article, that it’s good that Xbox didn’t make an equivalent console. I don’t want to get a PS5 Pro, even though I do think it makes games look a lot better, partially because I’m not in any way dissatisfied with the base PS5, and partially because the jump from base PS5 to PS6 should be considerably larger than the jump from PS5 Pro to PS6.
Trials of Mana is so good. People talk about how Animal Crossing was the game that got them through the early days of the pandemic, but for me it was Trials of Mana. (Not that I didn’t play copious amounts of Animal Crossing too.)
It would be very funny if Xbox gets FFXVI before PS5 gets FFXIII, and thus becomes the first current gen console to have every mainline, single player Final Fantasy.
I’ve been around since almost the beginning. I bought my OG Xbox in Feb 2002, just a few months after it launched. I was intrigued by a lot of what the Xbox had to offer, but Halo was probably the biggest reason I bought one. I also remember being unreasonably excited about Project Ego (i.e., Fable), which didn’t end up living up to the hype. Ironically, I think Morrowind did more of what Project Ego promised than Fable did, and that came out two years earlier!
Man, Morrowind was such a revelation. I’d never played anything like it at the time, and honestly, I’m not sure I’ve ever played anything like it since, and that includes Oblivion and Skyrim.
I'm good. I'm actually playing RDR2 right now for the first time, and it looks so good, I feel like a native Series X version would be a waste of resources. Of course, I can't tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps, so that upgrade would be wasted on me anyway.
@Banjo- If you're still looking for recommendations, you had mentioned ReCore, and that game has quite a few easy achievements if you've never played it before. I think I've played it for an hour or so, and I have something like 5 achievements in that game. And I played it years ago, long before I was trying to get achievements for Microsoft Reward points.
They did a terrible job of marketing this. For some reason I thought it was a top-down twin stick shooter like the Ascent. I downloaded it expecting that, and was quite surprised to discover that is, in fact, a multiplayer-focused FPS! Since I have no desire to play a multiplayer FPS, I quickly deleted it. Shame that it was unsuccessful, but they can't all be winners.
Man, I had a Zune 80, a Zune HD, 2(!) Zune 30s, and I still have my Zune 8 with the Zune Originals art on the back. I still think Zune Pass was the best music subscription service. If Hyperkin wants to bring the Zune back, I would be all for it.
Well, I bought an Xbox One instead of a PS4, so I couldn’t say I ever feared it was all over. Kinda regretted my choice, though, once I saw how many great exclusives the PS4 got. Oh well, I’ve got a Series S now and I’m loving it so far.
Man, Morrowind, KOTOR and Jade Empire. The original Xbox was absolutely killer if you were into beefy RPGs. I have so many fond memories of those three games. I’m actually playing Morrowind right now on my Series S, and that game holds up surprisingly well!
I mean, I’m like the one person who enjoyed the campaign in Halo 5, so I’m reasonably confident that I will enjoy the campaign in Halo Infinite no matter what. As for multiplayer, I don’t play multiplayer, so I don’t care what they do.

Apparently this is being sold early at Walmarts all over. I just saw one at the Walmart in Augusta, Maine.

Re: Square Enix Is Bringing Eight Games To Xbox Today (September 26)
@MetalGear_Yoshi Nah. Like Final Fantasy, they’re all standalone games that just have certain themes and vibes in common.

Do we know if all three achievements have to be in the same game? Or can I get one achievement in three different games and still get the points?

Re: Six Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (January 20)
I’d be excited about Death’s Door, but I JUST bought it for Switch, and as much as I love my Xbox, portability wins out for me every time.

I want more people to play Gunvalkyrie, so that they can be impressed when I tell them I beat it. That game was hard!

Re: Talking Point: Would You Still Buy An Xbox Without Game Pass In 2021?
Absolutely not. The whole reason I bought an Xbox Series S over a PS5 was Game Pass.
