The original xbox was incredible. Everything including the headsets worked flawlessly. I don't think they had even begun to push that hardware but they needed cut costs and quickly launched xbox 360. The interface was basic but it did the job well. Definitely stood out against the ps2 at the time. Halo CE made it an inevitable choice.
One area that i think has gotten progressively worse is the dashboard for xbox. On the series x its a clunky mess. You can customise but sometimes less is more. It's so cumbersome to even message someone these days. Yet they give you quick access to report someone. I mean its nice there's an option for that somewhere, but it's hardly nurturing a positive community spirit. Definitely room for improvement overall imo.
