Interesting. Asha was clever in splitting the community—just look at the comments. She wins over half of them with updated gifs and emoticons, then brings in the AI arsenal once the community is divided and resistance is lower
They changed the icons and added a highlight for 100% completion… purely cosmetic. That’s not an improvement to the achievement system. The same flawed logic remains: an unnavigable list of played games with no filtering for completed or uncompleted titles, no sorting by first played, last played, first unlocked, or last unlocked. There’s a lot—A LOT—missing here.
On top of that, Xbox profiles show nothing about your gaming history or habits. They’re completely worthless, even worse than Nintendo’s—and Nintendo isn’t even trying.
Although I don’t like the Series S, because it reduced too many sales of the Series X, I think Microsoft got it right and the console was successful in its own way. I have friends who had never bought an Xbox before—only PlayStation—and today they split their gaming time between their PS5 and their Series S. I believe a Series S successor would help Xbox remain relevant
PlayStation's gate keeping is not in their exclusives, but paying temporal exclusivity on third party. The real question here is how much is going to pay PlayStation to third party to skip PC. Will they agree to that?
I bought Red Dead Redemption on May 10, 2024, for the Xbox 360 with all the DLCs. I didn’t buy the bundle because I already have Red Dead Redemption 2 in physical format. This whole thing makes no sense
How long before the "Day One" games get added to Standard tier? A year is what Sony give us paying for temporary exclusivity, now we'll get same treatment in house?
Almost the whole list is worth the time of any video game player, not blockbuster hunters, but many won't understand. Is good enough for me, and is good not to have major hits every 15 days, I don't have that much time to play games, so I do appreciate a handful of indies in between from time to time.
Xbox is by far the best service you can get into these days.
Game Pass Ultimate give a wide range access to rich libraries in both ecosystems, console and PC.
Play Anywhere, Cross-Save, Best Sales in the industry just barely below Steam's strong train. Too many games give you a copy to use on console and PC, for the same price.
High quality games on Game Pass, first party and third party, and growing insanely.
@BacklogBrad I don't think it will leave. Ni no Kuni 1 is still in Game Pass half way its second year, probably Ni no Kuni 2 will stay as long as the first one.
I disagree asking for a new platform game, I am not against it, but Psychonauts 2 is almost done and is coming to fill that hole. A new Killer Instinct seems more accurate since it is the only fighting game exclusive on Xbox

I'm at the 200K tier and still far from reaching 500K. It's going to be a long but fun journey, full of gaming.

Telemetry told them nobody is using the damn functionality. Truth is, nobody wanted it in the first place. They just took forever to admit it

@fatpunkslim Exactly, you nailed it. That's the plain truth.
Re: Report: New Game Pass Tier Exclusive To First-Party Games 'Under Consideration' At Xbox
Not into subscriptions anymore—I stacked my library with sale buys, so Game Pass feels pointless.

Beautiful icons, though.

Re: Talking Point: What Convinced You To Pick Xbox In The First Place?
The first Xbox I bought is the Xbox One S. I had a PS4 in those days and bought the Xbox One S just because it was so cheap due to its failure.
I loved it, then I left PlayStation behind and bought the Xbox Series X day one. I have no plans on getting a PS5.
