@Nic-Noc20th-C might go multiplat but it probably won’t be with Compulsion. South of midnight is a solid game but it definitely was one of the weaker titles. Not saying I hope the team gets canned just that when looking other teams their head is on the chopping block.

Man Xbox likes to screw over Xbox players by releasing features that should have been in the game at launch over a year later.

Not the most shocking considering it was shadow dropped and it’s 2 years after initial launch. It’s still a step in the right direction for Square. Xbox sales are a nice bonus but the main thing is getting on PC day and date at launch. That’s the big thing Square needs.

@Fiendish-Beaver Microsoft doesn’t care about their hardware sales. They obviously are going to continue to make hardware but their priority is in software. Their hardware is dying. Main reason why we are seeing them try so hard to increase pc game pass and mobile. Just saying that the best thing for the Microsoft gaming studios teams is prioritizing launching everywhere to make these games and teams as sustainable as they can. Hardware doesn’t mean ***** nowadays, they threw in the towel of meaningfully competing in that market and now their priorities need to shift

@Fiendish-Beaver but Phil Spencer himself has stated they aren’t going to try to get people to leave their platforms for Xbox so they have nothing to gain by not putting all their games everywhere at launch.

Well at least this game is getting a physical release with a disc. Would like too see Xbox publishing get their ***** together and do a proper physical release for Avowed.

Definitely makes sense with the Ps5 exclusives going to PC, but still think Sony as of right now has absolutely no incentive to port their games to Xbox outside of certain exceptions. Mean as of right now seems like it’s maybe 30 million and it’s not like Xbox is experiencing insane levels of growth. They still have some incentive for Exclusives, at least timed before a PC release. Vs Xbox which even when they had their biggest exclusives in years last year with Starfield, they still saw a loss in growth for 2023. With them now focusing on multiplatform releases, they are better of focusing of launching everywhere at the same time.

Upset Xbox didn’t truly invest and compete this gen with console exclusives, especially after talking about wanting to compete in the ftc court case over ABK. But that’s in the past and the reality is that Xbox in terms of console hardware is dead as it was in the traditional sense. Now might as well put games everywhere to maximize game sales, also would appreciate more physical releases on ps5 and switch 2. Focus on making games and making sure the teams can be sustainable in development and that they make good games.

At least with these newer interviews Phil seems to be way more honest then last year.

The only truly bad call for this list was Outlaws being on this list when other games Tekken 8 or Like a Dragon infinite wealth which are way better didn’t make the list.

With Delta Force launching on PC this week and eventually on console too. Things are actually looking up for PvP shooter fans who are tired of the old status quo.

Don’t understand why Xbox can’t just team up with iam8bit or limited run to do a pre launch physical version pre order. Make it a nice package and charge maybe $80 or so. Iam8bit did a great job with sea of stars and psychonauts 2. I know limited run has its problems but Grounded and pentiment have really nice physical releases from them. Obviously the physical market is a fraction but if you make a more limited version people will still buy it. They don’t need to print millions of discs anymore. People just want options. A good comparison is the vinyl market for music. Make it a good collector's item.

@IOI mess me with that bullcrap. Reviewers were given a busted version for review so of course reviews are going to be low. “Xbox tax” is a hawt load of crap. It’s pretty clear the reviews are pretty accurate based off of what they played. At least for players GSC had a better version ready to go day one and they are finding success.

It’s clear that their day one patch fixed a lot of stuff, unfortunately they didn’t have it ready earlier to help it get better reviews. This game is clearly doing several things right with its community sentiment. What it does specifically for Xbox has yet to be seen exactly. Seems like in the long run this will be a good W for Xbox.

@GamingFan4Lyf yes Xbox isn’t the publisher but they are in bed with this game by the fact it’s a timed exclusive. If they needed more time, which they clearly did, Xbox should have went to them and said give it another delay and that’s ok. Stalker 2 releasing in a bad state is not a good look for Xbox by association. And all of this looks even worse when Phil talked about delaying Avowed which didn’t need polish, in favor of games like Stalker 2 which needed more time.

@GamingFan4Lyf screw that bs. Yes of course give them the benefit of the doubt, but they still released a product that needed more dev time. Xbox could have said here more time and have had avowed come out or just flight sim 24. I’m not buying this game until they patch the heck out it.

This is the last thing they need. They still haven’t reached a consistent output from the studios they have now.

Swear if they are going to do a music and art box set and not a physical release for the game I’m gonna lose it.

Only thing is that they should have shown this off closer to Gamescom or Summer games fest. The early marketing for the game did a very poor job of explaining what this is. But in the here and now, looks great. Hope Xbox gives this game a proper marketing push as we get closer. Would be nice to see Xbox maybe get a 90+ game.

Forza Horizon 5. Xbox’s best game they made this gen and their biggest overhaul success. Critical acclaim and huge sales success. Then Xbox had to go and ruin it by releasing Halo Infinite way too early when they needed more time to make more content for it. But Xbox is gonna do Xbox things and ruin their image by doing dumb things like releasing games that clearly needed more time in the oven.

@Millionski I’m not even talking about at the cross gen games, I’m talking about the lack of new games in general. I realize that they everything is more pc like but only having a console release of a game already on pc as your only new game is ***** pathetic on Xbox’s part.

I’ll give you 2021 yes, but idk why people are playing revisionist history with 2020. The series X and s had an absolute garbage launch lineup. The only new game we got was Gears Tactics. Yes a lot of titles had next gen upgrades but it’s not the same thing as a new game. First year for the Xbox series x and s was dogshit until Summer 2021.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Xbox needs to be more consistent with quality single player exclusives. I do hope this game is a 9/10 masterpiece and hopefully helps to drive some more sales of Xbox’s and game pass subs. Would be a nice addition to BO6 being great.

Makes sense, know a lot of people liked Hellblade 2 but it’s clear as day they put too much focus on cinematics instead of gameplay. There are also many other games that aren’t on this list that could be on this list instead of Hellblade 2. Also low key glad to see Black Ops 6 getting the credit it deserves. Know mp has some problems but the core is super good and the campaign is great, glad to see Xbox get a W.

Always am happy to see a great game sell well and perform very good. This is a nice needed W for Xbox. Now the biggest thing for Xbox is that it needs too continue to deliver consistently and not have huge dead periods of time or release bad games like Redfall. Things are lining up good for the next couple of months, Xbox just needs to deliver on the promise of a big game every quarter which they have failed to achieve consistently.

They have proven themselves numerous times, most recently with Outer world. Biggest red flag for this game is if it’s not 60 fps.

The main thing that matters for Xbox at the end of the day is releasing good games. I’m very glad too see Black Ops 6’s campaign is a good game. It’s a W.

lol it won’t happen and Helldivers doesn’t need Xbox. Already at 12 million copies sold and the 2nd best selling game of the year in the US. Why would Sony bring it too Xbox when it already most likely broke even.

@LogicStrikesAgain yup and with games getting more expensive to make most devs are better off going fully multiplatform. 2nd party is different and also like I said can see a deal for the likes of Silent Hill 2 and Bloober team making sense considering Konami is getting back into mainstream gaming and also considering Bloober Team’s spotty track record.

@LogicStrikesAgain yes, guess should have stated it, it makes complete sense for Sony to try to get timed 3rd party exclusives. Was more so coming from the developer side where timed exclusive deals don’t make a lot of sense, especially for PS5 only for a while with no PC release.
