If you're a fan of PC gaming, you may have come across a title over the past few years called "Raft" - which takes the form of a solo and multiplayer survival adventure that's racked up hundreds of thousands of Steam reviews so far.
Those Steam reviews are "Very Positive" as well, so it stands to reason that Xbox fans would be excited about its arrival! The problem is, it happened with basically no fanfare at all... announced on December 3rd, released on December 4th.
Despite this though, Raft has been doing extremely well in the "Top Paid" Xbox charts ever since it launched for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. As things stand, it's sitting at #6 in the UK charts and #12 in the US charts - and that's pretty impressive when you consider it's competing against all the big sales on the Xbox Store in the process!

Is it worth picking up, then? Well, we haven't played it ourselves as of yet, but the Xbox Store reviews are good - 4.2/5 based on 67 user reviews in the UK, and 4.1/5 based on 227 user reviews in the US. As mentioned, the Steam reviews are "Very Positive" overall as well.
We did come across plenty of reports about thumbstick sensitivity though, and players seem a little divided over whether this has been alleviated or not - it was tweaked in a patch back in mid-December. Here's an example of an Xbox player who eventually updated their review to five stars after the patch was implemented:
Epic Rooster B on Xbox - Original Review: "Awesome, been waiting so long for this... But please, sort out the left stick sensitivity, crouching everywhere on my raft to stop just walking off for no reason sucks, also an FOV slider would be nice, just saying... Will give 5 stars then but for now its frustration central..."
Updated Review: "Updated to 5 stars, much friendlier on the sensitivity, my friends and I had a blast playing this."
Here are a couple of other recent reviews of Raft for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S:
Mount McDonald on Xbox: "If you are into survival games, especially those that are a little more forgiving then others, Raft is an awesome game! Like others have mentioned though, the deadzone issues are real, and the snapping points during building are god awful. If both of those issues are fixed, I'll update to 5 stars. But those are central features, and really take away from a great game."
BeastReferChief on Xbox: "Just try it. It's legit, just have some patience and build up your raft and figure out radio and antenna. Enjoy a great survival story trying to find the last of civilization.. If there is any.. People complain about the wonky controls but I didn't find it keeping me from enjoying the game. 10/10 Great building and customizing. You can paint your boat. Includes puzzles and hidden quest items in story missions."
GreenlightX4 on Xbox: "Love this game on Steam. But gutted it doesn't have support for keyboard and mouse [on Xbox]. Hopefully it gets added..."
If you're interested in checking out Raft, it's (obviously!) available now on the Xbox Store for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S at a price of £19.99 / $24.99. We'll throw some more details about the game along with screenshots below.
"Raft™ throws you and your friends into an epic oceanic adventure! Alone or together, players battle to survive a perilous voyage across a vast sea! Gather debris, scavenge reefs and build your own floating home, but be wary of the man-eating sharks!"
