Re: Starfield, Indiana Jones And Many Other 'Xbox Exclusives' Could Be Heading To PS5

Aizen82

Oh I'm sure you're right. MS gaming will be doing great. Xbox on the other hand, will be dead. No one will buy a console. And their player base will jump ship to PC or PS because there will literally be no reason to buy an Xbox or invest in their ecosystem. Other than buying their games on PS. What's their tag line going to be. Buy our console so you can play our games a little while before they come to PS? Nope, Xbox will be dead as a cockroach.

Re: Palworld Dev Explains Why Xbox Updates Are So Much Slower Than PC

Aizen82

@eire-shabba it's like Pokemon and Ark mixed together. You have world bosses, dungeons, enemy encampments, base raiders and gym masters that you take on. The Pals(Pokemon) can be caught, eaten, leveled up and combined to make better Pals. You can equip some with weapons and use others for transportation. You can catch humans and put them to work as well. And all of it is combined into a really good game play loop. I'm loving it.

Re: Xbox Divides Opinion With Controversial Response To Baldur's Gate 3 Bans

Aizen82

@GeeEssEff what's hard to understand? People are fine letting their children watch action movies, but they don't want the kids watching porn. So all these people complaining about the policy are acting like they don't have common sense.

That's why Xbox has that policy. it's not inconsistent at all. The policy literally outlines what they allow and what they don't. And it's been there for everyone to read for ages. What didn't make sense and lacks common sense, is those who fail to read it and get upset when it's enforced. Xbox has long been family friendly. So they want everyone to be able to look at the content that they allow to be posted. All of these people sound like the same ones who complain about getting a speeding ticket, when they know damn well they were driving over the speed limit when they got caught. This isn't some mysterious rule Xbox slapped them with out of the blue. The rule about adult content has been there. It would be inconsistent if what they do, or don't allow, wasn't defined, but it is and has been for ages. So common sense says read the rules and follow them, then you'll be fine.

I completely agree with the auto upload part however. They could've handled that better. However like this article states, those bans are likely to be overturned and let off with a warning.

But all this nonsense about the rules being inconsistent makes absolutely no sense. Read and follow the rules. That's common sense right there.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Releasing Acclaimed First-Party Title On 'Competitor System' In 2024

Aizen82

@Phantasystar77 I know consoles are sold at a loss. That's why I said if they weren't, the argument against making some games multiplatform would make more sense. The fact is, even with a 30% cut, a game being sold across multiple platforms, is going to make more money than it being sold only on one. For example, the last of us sold very well on PS3 and PS4. Yet millions more were sold when it released on PC. They aren't regretting having millions more in their pocket. You should go to PS if you want. All I'm saying is that the exclusives you are getting will be temporary exclusives, as they already said they will bring their first party games to PC 2-3 years after they release. Only difference is Xbox is bringing their games to more than just PC and making a butt load of money as a result. You should definitely go to )S though, maybe in a few years more of the Xbox library will be available there. Not sure if all of it will but maybe enough for it to be a great deal. So long as you don't mind the $70 price tag anyway.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Releasing Acclaimed First-Party Title On 'Competitor System' In 2024

Aizen82

@Phantasystar77 don't get me wrong, if consoles weren't sold at a loss, or this resulted in Xbox making less revenue, your argument would hold more weight, because that would destroy Xbox and it's ecosystem. But it's ecosystem is literally "play our games and we get paid." If they were letting the games be pirated or played for free, that would kill them. But the facts are, with this strategy, Xbox will be printing money. They'll use some of it to make some more xbox exclusives, some of it to make exclusives multiplat, some of it to buy studios and publishers. And eventually, just like they are already doing, PS will look at how much money Xbox is making and do the same. Literally look at the history. 8 years ago it was "Xbox has no games," because they are on PC. Now PS games are on PC. Everyone said game pass would never be profitable. Now everyone is creating a similar service. So run to PS, just know they'll be doing the same in a few years.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Releasing Acclaimed First-Party Title On 'Competitor System' In 2024

Aizen82

@Phantasystar77 then don't recommend them if that's how you feel. Again Xbox has made it no secret that they don't care at all about beating PS in a console race. For some reason people keep talking about that, when Xbox says year after year they don't care about it. Their plans have been publicly laid out for years. If you guys are just now getting the message, it's a good time to jump off, because they will keep bringing select titles to PS and Nintendo and a bunch of other subscription services. That's literally their game plan. So long as you are playing their games, they don't care where you play it. You should go for it. No one is trying to defend Xbox because there is nothing to defend. They've said this is their strategy to take over gaming for years. Truth is, they are out of the console race, but their strategy will make them number 1 in gaming, because that's determined by profits, not console sales. They get to have an audience subscribed to their gaming service making 4B a year off that. And also sell their games for $70 on these other platforms. Which they will use to buy more studios and publishers. Wash, rinse, repeat. Their strategy remains effective, no matter where you play their games, you and everyone else will still be paying Xbox.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Releasing Acclaimed First-Party Title On 'Competitor System' In 2024

Aizen82

@Phantasystar77 let's not forget, it's been no secret that Xbox is now primarily about selling it's games and services. They haven't cared about selling consoles in almost a decade. Whether you play an Xbox game on Xbox, PC, Nintendo, PS, a TV , phone or Tablet makes little difference to them. And they haven't been shy about it. So everyone who has been buying an Xbox, has been doing so because they want to. Maybe they just prefer to pay $10 for the Xbox library they get with game pass, instead of the $70 the same game would cost on PS or Nintendo. Who knows.

Re: Talking Point: Has Xbox Done A Good Job With Gears Of War So Far?

Aizen82

It's interesting. The game always looks phenomenal and has great gameplay. Although I have to admit the story kinda sucks now. I tried to get behind Kaits story, but honestly JD's story is more interesting. The characters aren't really likeable. The brotherhood that Marcus, Dom and the rest created is what made you want to know their story and come back for more. I honestly could not care less about the new trio. I hate that it's not really about war anymore either, that's what made the original trilogy so good. The horrors of war, watching characters you loved fight back from the edge of depression. Or die in heroic battles to save the world. I hope they get back to that.

Re: Feature: Pure Xbox's Game Of The Year 2023

Aizen82

While I get not liking Starfield being GOTY; saying it's rigged is dumb AF.

1. The list is based on our votes.
2. The idiots claiming the "wider gaming community" is turning against this game aren't paying attention. It's on the platinum tier of best selling and most played games on steam for all of 2023.
3. That means despite launching in September (far later than most games on the list) it sold and continues to sell very well. Was played and continues to be played a lot.
4. So despite all the criticism constantly being fired at Starfield, people keep buying and playing it.

I'm not saying the game is great, IMO it is not. But the idea that it's ranking on this list is rigged, when it clearly has been selling and being played a ton, is ludicrous.

Re: The Lord Of The Rings Gaming Rights Are Up For Sale

Aizen82

@BAMozzy this hits the nail on the head a bit. True MS doesn't really care about the movie industry, but they do license their content for others to make such things. If they want, they could run this deal like sony does with Spiderman. Use the IP to make games, but license the movie rights to someone who will turn it into a billion dollar movie.

I think you're right though, I'm not sure how interested MS would be in this.

Re: CrossfireX Is Out Now On Xbox, And First Impressions Aren't Good At All

Aizen82

@Dezzy70 ??? Read the list my friend. Starfield, Redfall, Stalker 2, Plague Tale Requiem, Sniper Elite 5, Deathloop, Atomic Heart, Crusader Kings 3, MLB the show 22, Warhammer 40k Darktide. The hitman trilogy just released. As did mass effect legendary edition. We have no idea what new deals are in the works for the rest of the year or what will be shown @ E3 and its literally the beginning of February.

Maybe not go bemoaning the selection before actually seeing it first.

Re: PlatinumGames' Hideki Kamiya Is Still Keen To Team Up With Xbox

Aizen82

@InterceptorAlpha And for the record, I'll give you that it recently has fallen out of favor on steam. No longer top 100. Despite the issues, it still remains top 10 on Xbox, coming in at number 6. So even with some 3 star ratings on Xbox, its doing enough there to remain very popular. Steam is another issue, which I'm honest, I'm not surprised about. Xbox titles traditionally struggle on PC for some reason, thats not an excuse, they definitely need to improve there. However its something I continually would bet on. Either way its holding pretty strong on Xbox and metacritic user score. It could get worse, but it could also improve. Either way its doing the franchise plenty of favors.

Re: PlatinumGames' Hideki Kamiya Is Still Keen To Team Up With Xbox

Aizen82

@InterceptorAlpha Even if that holds true, the fact still remains that it isn't reflected in the metacritic score or user score. Reviews are allowed to be added post release. I can see the review score not changing because media outlets rarely change that. But user scores do change as those who play it can still add their review. The fact that its still holding an 8.4/10 user score despite the complaints still underscores a game that users are enjoying quite well, regardless of the issues. Perhaps that will change, but at this moment, its still a feather in the Halo franchises cap.

Re: PlatinumGames' Hideki Kamiya Is Still Keen To Team Up With Xbox

Aizen82

@InterceptorAlpha while it definitely hasn't released in a good state, considering all that was missing and some bugs. Saying it hasn't done Halo any favors is going a bit far. You canceled your Pre-order and thats good, as you shouldn't pay for something you have a ton of issues with. However the fact of the matter is, its holding an 87 on metacritic and has a user score of 8.4/10. Considering Halo 5 had an 84 with a user score of 6, its a pretty good Halo game according to the majority of the masses. And all that is before coop has been released.

Being covered by media outlets and youtubers alike for how much fun they are having with MP and Gameplay doesn't align with the concept of it not doing Halo any favors. You may not like it, but its clear the vast majority of gamers who play it do. Or at least those who have taken the time to review it.

Let me be clear, I'm not saying the game isn't without its issues, or that it released in a perfect state. I'm only saying it has reawakened the popularity of Halo within the masses and I can't see how that isn't doing the franchise any favors.
