I was going to try Black OPs 6 since it’s on game pass.

Downloaded, installed, then it wouldn’t let me play a single player campaign without making an Activision account.

So, that got uninstalled.

That's a full game. (I know RRP these days is £50 or £60, but you an always get every game for £40 if you shop around).

They can't stay the same price or increase indefinitely.

Might have to wait until the PS6 is out, or even the PS7, but eventually the PS5 will be a reasonable price, one day.

£450 (which both XSX and PS5 launched at before going...up...somehow) was already insanity.

Won't be getting the next systems (the proper ones, not this mid gen nonsense) until they're under £400. I'm patient, I can wait.

And £700 consoles definitely need to stop.

The people voting "who cares" or "not really" are the reason this is only going to get worse.

We'll have ads in loading screens, and pause menus soon enough, and then unskippable ads during system boot, and during game launch, then in-between rounds of multiplayer games. And on and on it goes.

Thanks, missed that entirely somehow.

This will certainly be the end of me subscribing directly from Microsoft. It'll be either be discounted codes from cdkeys and the like or just abandon gamepass. They kept the same price for so long, and now we're onto yearly price increases and I just can't tolerate that.

What about the regular console tier? The one that's currently £9.

Would need a timer-less mode to even consider it.

I specifically meant the frame rate during gameplay looked alright. Compared to the cutscenes.

The gameplay itself, need to see more.

Was the frame rate on this one deliberately awful? The gameplay wasn’t too bad but the frame rate on the cutscenes were horrific. Intentional style choice?

The PS5 wouldn’t fit in my tv unit. And it’s ugly as hell.

I do wish that weren’t the case because the Series X hasn’t exactly been great so far.

Microsoft really don’t seem capable of making games these days.

The Series X/S generation has been almost a complete waste of time so far.

I’d probably have bought it by now if it had a physical version.

But I can’t bring myself to pay more than £5-10 for anything digital. So I’ll wait until it’s that price or lower.

The only game thats ever managed to get more than £40 out of me was Tears of the Kingdom, and that only got me to £45. Zelda might be able to get me to £50, but nothing else stands a chance.

I'm patient. I'll wait for price drops.

£70 seems to be the current generation price publishers are trying to go for.

I don't know who these people are who can justify spending £70 on a game. I just know I'm not one of them.
