Gears is back, and the series is returning to its roots! Yep, the next mainline GoW title is called 'Gears of War: E-Day', and it features classic characters Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago for an "origin story of one of gaming's most acclaimed sagas."
Up to this point, developer The Coalition has gone off on its own path with the Gears series, but this one really is harkening back to the Epic Games era of Gears of War. We're returning to the locust hordes of Emergence Day with an Unreal Engine 5-powered prequel.
