This is how to do business, not only in gaming but in general. Make some profits while also making your employees feel rewarded. Then they will not only want to stay, but additionally, they will work hard. Chasing growth only leads to hard cuts and embarrassment when a decline inevitably occurs. It's hard to bounce back from the hit that your reputation sustains after cutbacks and layoffs.
Microsoft being Microsoft. I wonder how many thousands of people they've laid off over the years after countless acquisitions? Good reminder to not root for a corporation.
When I got my Series S last Christmas as part of a sale that also included 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate, my plan was always to let the subscription expire. My hope was to use the system as a cheap way to play Bioware and Bethesda titles that weren't on the Switch, as well as Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, and eventually, Avowed. I feel more and more vindicated by the choice to not renew as the months go by. I will probably just buy Avowed because Obsidian is my favorite developer, and then just call it good after that.
Has anyone ever considered that it could be because it's not cool to like Microsoft products? I understand preferring Xbox to other consoles, but no one is impressed by your Xbox or mine.
When subscription services mainly profit from selling subscriptions and not ads, guess what? They're gonna keep jacking up the prices on you. This was inevitable with their business model. You can only sell so many subscriptions, you max out at some point and to keep investors happy profits have to increase. That's captialism, baby!
If I were publishing a game, developing it for the Xbox would be my lowest priority. Like, how is this even a question? That's before even considering that it's a Sony product.
Bioware is just a name these days. It's been gutted and merged and moved around so much that I don't really trust the brand any more. I'm definitely waiting for reviews on this one. The character design is looking more cartoon-y than before and I don't care for it.
I loved the original and have no desire to play this one. The graphics look amazing and the acting is stellar, I'm certain. But, if you've played the first one then you have to ask yourself, why does this installment exist?

Probably a dumb question: The updates, such as QoL improvements and balancing, are for every version of the game?

@Ep_13 I'll simplify my comment then: This game is redundant and not worth it at full price.
