Ergh..... Here we go. Just yesterday I was reading how Xbox was in trouble because the PS5 version was superior and how Xbox ought not be undercutting their own console. So, here we go with he said she said...... Let them games begin.....
Most of your gamers don't really even know what or care what Ray tracing is, they don't and wouldn't know any different unless it was pointed out to them but, these days? EVERYONE knows frame rate, everyone knows what their games chugging.
Remember when there was Gears of War and Tecmo tried to copy it with Quantum Theory? When an idea is original, it does great. When someone tries to mimic to capitalize on the craze, well, that's what it does. Gears of War or Quantum Theory? Xbox, always late to the party and it only shows how little Xbox knows and how neive they are the industry, and how much they want to be PlayStation
Smart guy. I'm NeoXMahi, and I approve this message. Clearly, more developers need to speak out. Square-Enix has always gone on about their sales figures, Game Pass isn't going to help with that, and Xbox is always going to pressure them, and others, to support Game Pass to make Microsoft a lot of money, and devs get screwed, but it's a Game of the Year developer that sees that giving your game away doesn't impress and win over the crowd for Game of the Year status, instead, it cheapens your game and crushes it's value.
Xbox Game Pass is dependent on how long you play the game to make their money. Sampling games doesn't. Good job Larin Studios.
Now, if only your games were shipped on disc. Physical media, sir
Anything's possible. Miyamoto isn't getting any younger and Nintendos outsourcing their games. Miyamoto hasn't exactly been openly mentoring anyone at Nintendo to take his mantle since. So, anything is possible.
However, when you look at Xbox's track record, they havent been the same since the Xbox 360 era which only gave them a minor boost because Sony got a little overly confident, but in the end prevailed. Where Microsoft had acquired Rare, which essentially came from SEGAs failed partnership with Silicon Graphics who then referred them to Nintendo, Rare after they were acquired by Microsoft went down hill really quick. Long time Nintendo fans could really sense and tell a distinct loss of spirit, Rare was dead. It's content creators left and moved onto their own splinter groups, but just like a splinter Evangelical church, the message just isn't the same anymore, it's more and more diluted. Xbox, especially as of recent, hasn't really shown that quality. They never really ever had it. They've been amateurs in the business practically since the beginning. They want to come off as gamers, but they really aren't, their Suits and the culture shows that way in their games and the shakey nature of the studios, Rod Ferguson returning to Xbox for the third time with Blizzards acquisition. He was the head of a studio, THE STUDIO HEAD once Black Tusk but becoming The Coalition, and as a studio head and a Microsoft paycheck and pension, it still couldn't keep him around and he left.
IF Nintendo were to be acquired by Xbox, Nintendos identity and legacy would die, and Rare of proof of what you would see
Ah shoot..... He's open his fat sucker again, this guy's bad for Microsoft, they should've fired him with the Don Mattrick crew. Maybe he's only there because he was Phils frat buddy
I'd like to go ahead and add that: Just because you're in a court room and someone tells you to put your hand on a Bible and you swear to tell the truth under oath, doesn't mean you're going to tell the truth, especially if you don't believe in a God and your company is pressuring you to deliver. You're going to lie to butt off because you value your job, you like your private jet, and you're saved or if your Catholic, you can just lie and then go to confession and be absolved of the wrong doing. An oath doesn't mean anything today, especially in an ever growing secular society that doesn't believe in God because to those who don't, what's your incentive to do the right thing if you don't believe there's a punishment after this life. Phil has no reason to tell the truth, especially if he has no integrity or honor. After all, it's not really a lie, right? It's just business. Or, a lie doesn't matter when the opposition is in the wrong, and telling a white lie "liberates people from a dictator or someone with far too much power." My favorite is "well, they lied so I had to lie to counter their lie."
Ummmmm. So accepting MLB The Show on Xbox (that isnt an Xbox developer but a PlayStation first-party studio), that is funded by PlayStation and Xbox pays nothing, and then Xbox takes that and gives it away for free on Game Pass, what would you call that? Xbox didn't pay anything for it. Ergh.... Pick your battles Phillip
On a separate note, Id think Xbox is going to find a way to eliminate this buying ahead, that's not what they want so, enjoy it while you can. PlayStation nixed their loss of consumers piling subscription years. I had to years stacked and Sony took away a full year subscription of mine. Microsoft loses money that way. So, enjoy it while you can for those who have multiple years. Xbox is gonna shut that down before too long as they're seeing a steady need to increase the costs. Sure they made a lot all at once in that moment, but in the long term, they lost money
Yes, it's your average consumer that's going to make the difference and who Microsoft has to somehow sell on the idea. If the average guy that just goes to work and comes home and wants to play Call of Duty, Halo, Madden, Fortnite, Overwatch, or something to that effect, they aren't going to want to pay $15/mn just to play Madden they buy once a year and play as much as they want. THEN, you have the consumer who is fortunate enough to own all three consoles and a PC. To this consumer, they're a genius because what matters who wins between Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo is revolting to them, THEY want to win the console wars. As long as the three are warring, it's him that wins because he gets stellar games versus only being loyal to one, but even HE, has to pick and choose so he's picking between three consoles a variety of experiences. Game Pass could be his best investment because he plays that many games. There's others who say it's flooded with arcade type games and that's not what they're into and not worth the monthly fee when all he wants to do is play online and PlayStation is $60/yr OR even better, he can play online on his PC for FREE. (Honestly, PC is the way to go in that regard because it's still free to play online and it's the ONLY platform to still have that service. Microsoft and Sony are too greedy. Sony has increased and upped their service only to compete with Xbox, but most PlayStation consumers don't care, they'll do what they need to to keep if free if they could, but it's not an option. No, it's those consumers who tip the scales, not brand loyalists that seek out console specific websites. I'm sorry. Again, neutral organizations win because their customer base is always going to feel good they're being catered to and make them feel like they're winning and making the best decisions, while someone who sees different lly simultaneously feels the same way. That's customer service and treating your customers like they're your priority. That's whose gonna matter. I'm just saying. You've for a whole mess of Xbox fans flicking here and desperately trying to save a console (that lets be real, is struggling, and Xbox admitted themselves as a last ditch effort to acquire one of the biggest, if not biggest, publishers in the gaming business. I'm sorry
Let's be real here. Majority of those who pay attention to this website are Xbots (fanboys or Xbox Core), that's why it's called PUREXBOX. The occasion PlayStation fan might stumble across this through his Google Feed but this is a really unknown website compared to IGN, GameSpot, GameInformer, Digital Foundry, N4G, VG Chartz, and a plethora of YouTube Channels where people are watching more than reading. So let's get that out of the way. The funny thing with a fanbase, is they CAN manipulate something to make it look like something it really isn't. Back in the day, we used to call it "rigging" something. That means that a single user (based on his pride) can vote several times (through a refresh) numerous times but, he doesn't want to get caught so he'll try and balance it out by NOT condemning the subject (because he doesn't want it to look bad) but he'll ride the line so to feel he's not betraying his own loyalty, to the brand.
There's also a possibility a PlayStation fanboy could come along and play the same game. He's not going to OVERTAKE the most popular answer, but he'll disrupt it so as not to blow HIS OWN cover. If he feels it's safe enough, he just might barely tip the scale in the negatives favor but, again, this is an Xbot website so, he's not gonna do that and reveal himself a sham.
So, now that we've established that this is an XBOX DEDICATED SITE (neutrality serves you best in the public eye these days rather than picking sides, if you want to actually make money. Bias doesn't make money as the majority detest fanboys). Now that we know that, a fanbase site is biased so it really doesn't matter what the poll results say here. Majority of the responses one gets are one that's loyal to the brand and can't bear to see it's fate slide by the wayside. (It's okay, don't feel bad, these sort have existed since SEGA entered the market to challenge Nintendo and it's been around forever and on ALL sides, even in the Sony and Nintendo camps to this day.
What's really going to matter is the average consumer (those who don't care and take place in something like this, they just want to play games) and it's THEY whose opinion matters. It's not the consumer that hangs around the message boards or on websites like this or a Pure PlayStation, if one even exists.
If that were the case, Phil Spencer, why Minecraft? You have a franchise that's sat dormant for years you're not making money on. Why not release the original Gears of War trilogy on PlayStation then? You've made all the money you're going to on Xbox with it. I'm not saying release Gears 4 or 5 but, why not make a crap ton of money off s franchise you have that PlayStation fans would love to play. Minecraft is trash. Ya wanna win them over? I'm not saying your bread and butter (Halo or Forza) But Gears of War and Fable. Easy money, Microsoft. Let's see if Phil Spencer is as neutral as he says he is and wants everyone to be buddies, then port Gears of War to let Naughty Dog doing a reboot or remaster
