Re: Out Today: Leedmees (Xbox Live Arcade)

Just got it, and played the first 2 levels.

When I got to level 3, it requires me to lean down. It all goes to s#1$ from there. My profile is clearly visible in the lower left corner, so nothing wrong with the sensor not seeing me. But the puppet is smashing those little guys all over the place, they dont jump on the arms, and when they sometimes cling on, they dont stick when I rise. I moved the sensor two times to see if it helped, I varied the range between me and the sensor, all to no avail.

I ended up stomping out my frustration with my feet on the little guys coming out. Yes, you can kick them to death, which was something I needed because I am easily agitated when stuff "doesn't do what it is supposed to".

Sux, because I really enjoyed the first 2 levels/5 minutes of the game.

This is the first kinect game I played with a smile on my face. You can play it on intuition; no weird hanging in the air with your hand, trying to figure out where kinect wants your hand to be:-))

Its colourfull, fast paced, and fun!

(Might want to play this in your shorts, cause you'll build up a sweat in no time...)

@ userwords; dont forget that a lot of kids have an xbox in their rooms. Generally kids rooms arent known for their spaciousness, so having something that would narrow down the required floorspace would be awesome for them! And world overpopulation isnt something that should pop into your mind when talking about an add-on to an add-on for a gaming console. Chill out.

Everything must have a beginning somewhere. If this is the beginning for fps-kinect, then I can only applaud whatever effort they've made to get it to work. I love games like MW2 & BF2, and if this game right here is the start to kinect integration into shooters; then maybe somewhere down the line the "big" shooters will learn and improve on it, and also mix it into their games. Maybe small things; like moving your "imaginary" nightvision goggles from your forehead to your eyes, yelling for a medic, stuff like that...

Re: Hit the Brakes, We've Got Burnout Crash! Kinect Details

...I really wonder how some games (and movies for that matter), are brought into this world.

A group of people worked on this for months, then sat together on the final day, and played this game. They must have looked at each other like "wtf did we just make?!?"

But, having allready spent a lot of cash on it, they had no choice but to release it, and hope that the expenses made would be covered for the largest part.

Doesnt stuff like this have to pass a final review board or something? A final authority that has the power to stop games from coming into existence?

If I had been in an emotional mood while watching this video, I would most likely have shut down my computer, and walked over to the window, where I would have stood motionless for about 5 minutes, pondering upon the uselessness of mankind as a whole...

Re: Thanks to Kinect, Xbox 360 Could Be Around Until 2017

When other console manufacturers (sony, basically), come out with a brand new, graphically superior machine in the near future, I don't see how xbox could lag behind by not releasing a new one... And I kind off want to get a new console every now and again, if only to have the idea that things are moving forward..

Re: Talking Point: Are Small Games Kinect's Future?

ifell41

I dont need "little games" to get me satisfied or something... I think we've all been given a wrong impression of what the kinect would be like, through demo's like "milo". I was expecting stuff like that to come out at the release of the sensor. I am still waiting for games like that, instead of the glitchy sports stuff. I want games that give me a deeper sense of involvement on the overall gameplay experience. I dont need stuff I could play with a controller just as well, but can be played with kinect as a novelty.

Re: Microsoft Already Building the Future of Kinect Hardware

I would love to have some goggles, totally immersing me into the world I am playing in. The sensor(s) could be like both in front of me, and on the headset, keeping track of me at all time. The cam could also outline my furniture on the screens in front of my eyes in like a vague line or something, to keep me from bumping into it. Stuff like that, you know:-)...
