Not good numbers overall. But looking at MS earnings as a whole, the major profitable growth is only in Cloud and Azure which jumped 40% higher. Xbox will have a lot more heads on the chopping block I feel.
I've been thinking why the State of Play which are usually meh have been better than the last few Xbox events. I think length is starting to affect pacing. One hour for updates is too much. It didn't work for Nintendo either. Especially when first party is quite visibly absent (seriously where is Fable?).
Regarding why Forza Horizon 6 fell flat is because it leaked more than a month ago. Literally the worst kept secret. But Wolverines SOP announcement was also leaked by Insider Gaming, so why did that still generate hype? That's because closing out on a narrative action game will always look cooler than a racing game despite knowing Forza Horizon 6 will be massive and amazing. Sometimes you cannot beat good old fashioned violence and spectacle.
