@GamingFan4Lyf I am absolutely with you on this one. I just recently took my ps4/5 game collection of about 70 games down to the second hand shop and sold those off. Just finishing with Rebirth then plan to sell my PS5. Figured I’d keep the Series X but at this point think I’m going to sell that too and the few physical games I own for it and just go PC and Nintendo. I picked up a Legion GO (which I have since returned) but it introduced me to the PC world and man looking at a laptop, Series X and a PS5, a laptop (or decent Desktop and PC handheld) just keeps making more and more sense. Especially with GOG seeing that I own the files for the games I buy. I’ve already started to build up a good little GOG collection. At this point with emulation, whatever Nintendo puts out and everything available on PC, there is enough that interests me to play for 10 lifetimes without Xbox or PlayStation hardware. I’m new to Xbox this gen by the way.
It would be so funny if in the end there was no so-called “bad news” and all they did was announce a new controller and system, and that every Blizzard and Activision game was being added to Game Pass that very day. And then simply did a mic drop and show was over.
@savage_joe It’s apparently up on the ps5 as well, but I haven’t checked mine (rather play it on the Series X so I can use my 8Bitdo M30 controller). Does the link I posted work for you?
@FraserG the demo still does not seem to be showing on the store via the Series X (although maybe I’m just missing it), but just want to tag you to highlight the link I posted above as a work around.

I could not find the demo when searching for it on my Series X (maybe it is showing now?). But if you use a web browser, here is a link to a region free demo. Was able to install it on my X once I claimed the demo this way.
@Rangers420 I upgraded from the Series S last week. I got it for $590 CDN incl. tax (so about 345 GBP/$430 US). So glad I did! The X just looks and runs so much better. I also have an OLED tv, so it looks phenomenal (Ori and the Will of the Wisps for example looks just stupid good, even compared to the Series S version). And having a disc drive is great. I picked up the Metal Gear Solid collection and some other 360 disc games that are no longer available on the store digitally (like the first Splinter Cell). It’s just a great piece of kit! It’s probably because I am new to the Xbox eco system this gen, but having a Series X has made this gen actually exciting. But I hear you on gaming and spending too much lol.
@MrMagic Sorry, admittedly confusing way to put it. As far as specs comment, it was in anticipation of having a Series X/a general comparison of the 2 consoles. In other words, I prefer the Xbox controller, and would/will prefer Series X over PS5 because specs for same games are often better on X (often); one game that comes to mind as an example is Fallen Order. Thanks for the chance to clarify.
@InterceptorAlpha @taternuggets was just thinking because of your comments…it’s funny, I bought a Series S just to have access to GamePass (which also because of Costco I was getting GP for $60 CAD a year, so it was a no brainer picking up a Series S just for GamePass), thinking my PS5 would be worth it for Sony games and everything else. But with how uninteresting a lot of Sony’s out put is for me personally, games already released and on the horizon, and my preference for playing on an Xbox minus the horrible home screen interface (mainly because of the controller and often better specs in the same game compared to PS5), if Sony had put out a similarly priced and spec’d system as the Series S (the PS5 digital system is too expensive given how little more you need to pay to get a disc system) I for sure would have gone in the opposite direction and bought the cheap Sony console to play its exclusives and the beefier Xbox to play everything else.
Edit: I say all of this as someone who has had a PlayStation since the PS1 days and who still cherishes having my physical copies of games like the The Legend of Dragoon, FF VII and FF VIII.
@taternuggets lmao…I have a Series S (which is actually my first Xbox system and I plan on upgrading to a Series X this week), a PS5 and a Switch, so I don’t say this as a fanboy of any system, but man, I look at my PS5 and think, this really is just a system to play my PS4 games on with better load times (and frame rates in some cases). I really don’t understand all the flack that Xbox gets for lack of exclusive games this gen when PlayStation hasn’t put out all that much either three years in, especially when you think about what quite a few of their first party games are…sequels that are pretty samey compared to their predecessors. I’m not necessarily criticizing (though have come to accept the PS5 really is just a PS4 Pro 2, at least for me) but am really confused that Xbox is placed in the sh*t house on this score and Sony isn’t sh*t on in the exact same way for what it’s done this gen. Just for the record, if I had to keep only one console it would be the Switch no questions asked (paired with my Mac mini for emulating retro games, I’m set anyway), so I’m not an Xbox fan trying to defend Xbox or just sh*t on Sony. But if you only have an Xbox and not a PS5, you aren’t missing out on much really (except RC and Ghost of Tsushima (the PS5 version is just so much more enjoyable to play), minus having to use the sh*t controller for PS5 games). But anyway, great comment, it gave me a good laugh this dreary morning!

@FraserG might be interested in seeing the Phawx’s video on this from over a year ago…might even be good to add to the article?

@Sakai I think @InterceptorAlpha picked up on that, hence his (much appreciated) sarcasm as well
