@MrStark Microsoft have deep pockets, Xbox do not. Microsoft have so much money because they own very successful divisions. They demand a similar success rate from Xbox. Up until now they haven’t achieved that.

@AlwaysPlaying it’s already been said there’ll be Wolverine gameplay. Wolverine is by far Playstation’s biggest release this year. A def GOTY nominee altho GTA6 will walk it.

@fatpunkslim Playstation release plenty of games. They’ve been thin on the ground the last couple of years or so because of the Jim Ryan live service plan. 16 live service games they cancelled.
The back end of PS4 there were numerous AAA bangers released. Since they dropped the live service idea we had Saros an Ghost of Yotei, Wolverine very soon, then there’s Intergalactic the new God of War, Venom, Spiderman 3, etc.

I said this. I do think wat Sony have said is right an maybe the biggest factor. In about 5 an half years Sony earned only $1.5 billion from PC ports. Considering they made $32 billion in 2025 it’s pocket change.
But i do think the Helix sn maybe the Steam console had something to do with it. Everyone slates Xbox for puttin their games on PS5, why would Playstation follow suit? They don’t need to, games sell massively on Playstation. 303 million full price game sales in 2025.

Playstation are pulling back from PC because unless they go day 1, which they’re never gonna do, the sales aren’t great. In five an half years Playstation made $1.5 billion from PC sales. There’s also the Steam machine an the Xbox Helix having access to Steam, Playstation do not want their games on another console.
Forza aside Xbox sales on Playstation have also been poor, but the new, day 1 games will sell better. Fable will sell better on Playstation than Xbox.

@dreadful it has nothing to do with whether it’s a new game, a sequel or a prequel. If it’s a fantastc game it will sell fantastically. If it’s decent it will sell decent. If it’s poor it will sell poor.

@BacklogBrad to be fair Starfield was hyped to high heaven, biggest game ever, complete freedom, 1000 planets to explore, an it didn’t come close to meeting it’s hype.

@IOI that is wat Xbox do. Over 500 million monthly active users. About 90% of these users are playing Mictosoft owned games on Playstation, PC an mobile. If i play Call of Duty on my PS5 i’m an Xbox active user. Candy Crush has about 200 mill monthly active users, they are all counted in Xbox active users.

This will be the reason i resub to Game Pass. Forza Horizon is my fav Xbox games. Love that it’s in Japan, there’ll be hectic, beautiful cities an peaceful, beautiful countryside an mountain regions.
I so wish they’d do a PSVR2 version for PS5, GT7 on PSVR2 with a steering wheel an pedals is off the scale good!!

@GeminiX53 it’s pretty much the same as Game Pass but first party gamesdon’t come for 6-12 months but wen they do come they stay there. I buy pretty much ever Playstation first party game physical, but once they hit PS+ it saves me inserting the disc if i wanna play.

Imo Game Pass Ultimate is a great deal for gamers, espesh after Microsoft spent billions on acquisitions. However it’s not so great from a business point of view.
The idea seemed great, we don’t come close to Playstation for Game Sales, espesh first party games so we’ll make our money from subs. All first party games day 1 on Game Pass!! However this never came to be. They anticipated 50+ mill subs by 2024, 100+ mill subs by 2028. It peaked at about 35 mill. They then spent billions on Activision. Call of Duty day 1 on XGP!! The plan was millions of Playstation COD fans will not buy on Playstation an will instead sub to Game Pass Ultimate!! Again this didn’t plan out. Black Opps 6 sold millions, 84% on PS5!!
One thing that puzzles me, everyone complained about the price hikes. Why does everyone buy Game Pass from Xbox? You can get it far cheaper!! I pay £60 a year for Game Pass Ultimate!!

@Fiendish-Beaver it doesn’t really bother me. In standing games i stand with the backs of my legs against the sofa so i know where i am. I have Aces of Thunder an i can see how that might get people, it makes my belly swirl a bit!! Gran Turismo is really smooth tho.

GT7 an Forza Horizon are completely different types of racing games. I’d love the see the Forza, smash em up chaos on PSVR2!! Can’t wait for Flight Sim PSVR2 to drop!! That will be my first Xbox gsme bought on PS5.

I hope i’m wrong but i think the Helix will sell terribly. It’s gonna be super powerful but also super priced. The majority of console gamers are casual gamers. If they can buy a powerful Playstation 6, get Playstation exclusive games, Xbox games day 1, third party exclusives and timed exclusives for X amount of money, or a super powerful Xbox Helix that get Xbox games for XXX amount of money which do ya think a casual gamer is gonna choose? Which do ya think mum an dad are gonna buy for little Billy for Xmas or his bday? I think this might be the last Xbox gaming device we’ll see. If a huge majority of Xbox income is coming from Game Pass and game sales on Playstation, Nintendo an PC why bother releasing a new console?

@Banjo- i think it’s job done. From now on every future Xbox game will be on Playstation 5/6 day 1. The only Reason Forza isn’t day 1 is because they were late porting the game. They were well in to development wen Xbox went the Sega rout.
Xbox need the sales an day 1 brings far bigger sales. Had Playstation done day 1 on PC sales would be far better but exclusivity is important to Playstation.

@Fiendish-Beaver there is actually a good reason why time speeds up as ya get older. Say you’re 60, for you to become 61 you have to live one 60th of your life again. Say you’re 4, to get to 5 you have to live a quarter of you whole life again!! This gives the perception that time speeds up. Crazy!!
