I'd give an honorable mention to Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth for the original Xbox. That game had some great visuals and the sanity effects were awesome. I tried playing it in the dark multiple times and could only handle about 30 minutes at a go with the lights low and the sound up.

Huge win for the Xbone and Microsoft in general. If this game had been an actual launch title I think it would dramatically shift sales away from Sony during the holiday season.

Around that time I should be looking for something to deviate away from BF4 for a bit. Sounds good to me!

My gaming budget is all tied up by next weeks release of Battlefield 4 (plus the Premium) so Batman goes on my Xmas wish list. The Castlevania does sound intriguing though.. may hunt down some reviews on it to see what it is all about.

I love the Splosion Man games but I can't tell if this game looks fun or idiotic. I'm hoping there is a free trial.

I must be missing something.. I don't see how that could possibly be worth an additional $20. 2 collectible pins and a case? ehh.. no thanks.

Wish this would be the case for a game like BF4. Many of my friends will play on PC while I go the console route with a handful of other friends.

I definitely like the idea of the achievement being recorded. I have notifications turned off as I was tired of them popping up while watching Netflix. So I never know when I get an achievement anymore. Maybe the Xbone will have more refined controls for the notifications. Regardless, it will be cool to be able to relive some achievements or show off to a friend.

I adopted the Xbone name myself mostly out of amusement. Larry Hyrb making a stink about it sealed the deal.

I hope this pans out. I'd really like to hear all the XBLA games that I've invested in would get updated to work on the XBone. Not holding my breath though.

Not many games have provided me with the true joy of just exploring. Driving around to reveal more of the map or seeing a mountain peak in the distance and figuring out which road will lead to a trail that will get me to the top. Little things like that on top of all the great things mentioned in the review push this game to the top for me. 9/10 for sure and really if GTA Online is half as good as I think it may be, this could easily be 10/10.

I think I'm going to have to put down a pre-order on this. I've loved Forza since the original on Xbox (I so want to say Xbox 1 for the first console but that would make things very muddled). Add in that one of the pre-order bonuses is a tricked out Ford Focus and it's a no brainer. Yeah, I'm odd in that I'm much more excited about the more entry level cars than the R1 level...

I used to have one of my 360 consoles vertical but now they are all horizontal. I actually have no place to put a vertical console in my entertainment center so this news doesn't really affect me.

I already made a playlist based of the West Coast Classics on Google All Access.. only thing I wish for is the DJ intros to various songs.

I find this very annoying. I was really looking forward to this feature and thanks to what history I'm sure will reveal was a vocal minority, Microsoft took it away. Maybe this will accelerate Microsoft into re-introducing it for the Xbox One.

I'm definitely intrigued by this. Will most definitely be keeping my eyes on it! By the comment that this is coming via digital channels am I to assume this will be an XBLA game or in that price range?

Nice article but I must be in the minority. I absolutely hated that soundtrack and it drove me away from the game. Now I have it stuck in my head which is going to annoy me in a few minutes lol.

I was never in the camp that wanted them to change from the original ideas. I understand where a lot of the furor came from and that can be blamed mostly on MS and how poorly they communicated everything. But we also need to point to Sony who jumped to attack and added some misinformation into the mix and helped really stir the pot. I wonder if one day we won't look back to early this summer and realize that MS was well ahead of the curve and thanks to a knee-jerk reaction of the gaming community as well as some artful manipulation by Sony PR we lost out on a great thing.

I really hope one of these bundles comes to the US market. I got my Day One pre-ordered. Would love to get Forza 5 bundled in!

I loved Indigo Prophecy on Xbox 360 (I think it may have been on Xbox Originals download now that I think back). So I was definitely disappointed to never get to play Heavy Rain due to not owning a PS3. I've heard both good and bad about it, but would prefer to form my own opinion. With any luck Quantic Dream will venture back to MS sometime soon. Of course on their schedule it may be in time for the generation of consoles after the PS4/XB1...

Hmm that actually looks pretty decent.. Of course by the time it comes out I'll be playing BF4 on XBone. This seems like it should be slated for the One instead of 360 to be honest. Would possibly help sell some consoles and justify Gold memberships.

That's pretty LOL-worthy to be honest. The XBone's lineup is pretty stout to say the least. I've already got BF4 pre-ordered and am now very tempted to get Forza 5 on pre-order to get the day one cars (That Focus ST sounds awesome). I'm hoping for Watch Dogs and CoD Ghosts and AC around Christmas. Maybe down the road Dead Rising 3. So all told, easily 1/3 of the launch lineup for XBone has me ready to spend money.

I'm a bit surprised there is no NHL game ready for launch. That would be on the list too if it happens.
