Re: Speculating On Xbox's 'Surprise Brand-New Game' To Be Shown At Dev Direct

Divide_and_Wander

@somnambulance - While i wouldnt hate it, im mostly joking about Silksong. We all know it doesn't exist.🤣

More realistically, it could be an official Black Myth Wukong update, or something from Square Enix. Last year, Square Enix was a surprise guest at the direct, so maybe FFVII remake news and/or more GP announcements/shadow drop goodness?

Speculation is fun.

Re: Xbox Boss Provides Multiple Reasons Why A 'PS5 Pro' Competitor Isn't Necessary

Divide_and_Wander

I agree to a...err, degree. I agree that it doesn't make sense for Microsoft to compete incrementally like this, but had sales been higher for Team Green this generation, maybe they would have done it too.

Personally, graphics aren't everything, and they can only go so far. I do like Microsoft's multi device strategy here, but we'll see if their pivot pays off. I mean, based on the recent marketing, they are all in on this strategy.

Re: Rumour: Xbox May Be Gearing Up To Reveal Handheld Device In 2025

I ended up getting a ROG Ally X and that has largely dashed my need for an Xbox handheld. I have been thoroughly enjoying it. Unless the Xbox handheld has the ability to play PC games too, it feels like it will be an inferior product to the Steam Deck, Ally, Lenovo Go, etc, which are very versatile, although not super user friendly.

Don't get me wrong, I want Microsoft to succeed because it keeps things competitive, that benefits all gamers. I'm looking forward to see what they have to offer when it's announced and shown!

Re: Starfield Shattered Space DLC: Release Date, Release Times, Price & Upgrade Details

Divide_and_Wander

Since getting a ROG Ally X, I've finally able to get into Starfield. I don't get a lot of TV time with a young kid, so being able to consistently play was near impossible. But now, I can play some before I go to sleep, and early weekends I can play on the Series X.

I don't know if I'll jump right into the DLC upon completion of the base game, but I'm enjoying it enough to go back to it in the future.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2024 Event?

Divide_and_Wander

I gave it a B. Lots of new and remade RPGs that I'm interested in playing in the future. Threads of Time was probably the most interesting to me personally.

That puzzle game that dropped on Game Pass also looks fun, so I'll probably give that a spin too. Katamari is always a fun one to play a round or two of now that it's on Game Pass, if that's your thing.

Re: New Microsoft Rewards Bonus Will Reward Some Players With 1000 Points Per-Month

Divide_and_Wander

It seems there's been quite a few changes since the last note on the app from July 3rd (US).

For starters, they put a 15-minute delay after using 3-4 searches on both PC and Mobile. Previously it was 5 seconds between searches.

They also linked the Bing check in to the puzzle board on PC, which previously took 12 weeks of 'do 3 Bing searches'. With two options now, it should take 6 weeks instead of 12 for the 1000 points it offers.

I also noticed an uptick in additional 10-15 point bing activities, especially when it comes to specific bing searches.

It's still not as good as it used to be, but it's still a lot better than what others offer. I'd be real happy if there pc weekly bonus showed up here too!

Re: Reminder: Nine Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass This Weekend (September 30)

Divide_and_Wander

I just got a free copy of Loop Hero (PC) through Amazon Gaming (US), so that one I've got covered. Wanted to get into Ace Attorney trilogy, but there's no way I'm going to be able pry myself off Starfield for long enough to play.

Is it just me, or are we losing more on GP than we are getting? I mean, I missed out on gaming for years so I have a lot to play, but there seems to be a momentum slowdown.

Re: Asus ROG Ally X Reviews Suggest It's The Best Xbox Handheld Yet

Divide_and_Wander

Forgive me for my ignorance, as I've been a console gamer forever with little PC gaming knowledge... but does this allow you to download your Xbox games right on the device along with PC games? Same with GP games too? I play a lot of Xbox Cloud Gaming and would love something like a Switch but with a different library of games not available on that console.

Re: Review: Still Wakes The Deep (Xbox) - Nautical Narrative Adventure Perfect For Xbox Game Pass

Divide_and_Wander

@Mustoe - I'd argue that time isnt cheap, but i understand that each persons value of it may vary. For example, if i invested 5 hours into a game that was terrible, thats 5 hours that ill never get back. That time could have been used for a more enjoyable game, or to spend time with family, friends, or on my health ( I love running).

With working two jobs, any free time is coveted, so I want to make as much of it as i can. I very much appreciate the reviews, PX! 🙂

In terms of the game, i was really intrigued when i first heard of it, so ill definitely give this a spin to see if it clicks with me.
