I don't mind the whole heap of multiplayercrap and enjoyed the campaign propably more than I should've. Looked and.played great on Series S. Would've not bought it on full price.
Xbox One S was my first M$ console and it ran somewhat janky, crashing here and there, also slow system software... But I am total in love with my Series S. Great hardware for such a small price. The size is great to take it easily with you. Never had a hard crash and its very silent, even in a dusty environment.
Will wrap up Hellblade 2 and then play some Senuas Sacrifice and also some Mad Max, just saw Furiosa in the cinema and it had some throwbacks to the game.
Still looks and runs pretty impressive on Series S imho. Even on 30fps it plays and looks pretty smooth but I guess this is more a result of the slow pace. It has some hiccups if you exit pause though.
I use Sonys pulse headset on this one. The audio is awesome but it also stresses me out (which is intended I guess). So I'm only able to play in short bursts. The overall experience is awesome nontheless.
@MannyC90 Just wait until you get the autofire upgrade on your gun and a little bit more ammo, it's way easier then. Game looks and feels great for what it is (I'm playing on PS5 ), enjoying it a lot.
I'm around 80hrs in I think. I'll give it a 7/10. I really like the world building and the cities and little quests are awesome, but the user-unfriendly ship-builder, planetary exploriation, constant quicktravelling and horrible menus are really annoying.
Also I have constant crashing on Series S even with all those workarounds floating around (deleting savegames locally and synch them again worked once for several hours, but not again). Maybe today's patch fixed at least a l'ill bit of that, but tbh I'm too old now for another Fallout 3 oder Skyrim situation on PS3.
There's a trash planet in one of the questlines and you can use the 'universal greeting' from Transformers - The Animated Movie. The particular scene also played on a trash planet
It has a demo on steam, also bought it there. The graphical style and most of its gunplay is inspired by F.E.A.R. they also threw a little bit of Crysis in there, you're able to turn yourself invisible for stealth. Pld the first mission which was awesome and ended in a huge shootout, 2nd mission was a bit lame, like "protect the servers" which has you running around between three spots, but thats how far I played it and I would still recommend it if it releases for the same price as on PC (30 bucks I guess).
Instabuy, already have it in PC and the port is awesome. The new features like the reinstated alternate actors and the new campaigns are highly appreciated
Awesome remaster. Machine Games campaign was great. Tackling the expansion packs atm. Hope ROTT:Ludicrous Edt. and System Shock will make their way to consoles soon, too.
Looks like sh*t on Series S. Lowres textures, texture pop-in (if they pop-in at all), something seems wrong with the lighting, controls are kinda weird... I dunno, I really want to like this (cause Arkane), but that game was in no state for a release at this point. Also some essential QoL features missing (removing backrounds from subs, downscale fonts, they're huge...)
