Re: Rare Boss To Become New Head Of Xbox Game Studios

@CenturianShark Agreed.

Craig Duncan's Rare has developed 2 games in 6 years (0 since 2020).

Mark Gordon's Treyarch has released 4 games in that same timeframe (6 if you count the zombies mode they wholly developed for other CoDs).

But sure–Hire Craig. Great decision. He's exactly what XGS needs.

Super hero games need to be seen as RPGs. People buy spider man games to be spider man for a day. People buy arkham games to be batman for a day.

In this game, you could swap out any suicide squad member with anyone else - Harley Quinn w/Cat Woman, Deadshot w/Redhood, King Shark w/Lobo, and Boomerang w/Peacemaker - it wouldn't change anything outside of a few soundbites.

As cringey as it is to say, this game doesn't make you "feel" like any member from the suicide squad.

@Dimey I hear you, I do. That said, we’re all on an Xbox focused gaming site. It’s meant to be niche and fun! What’s pointed and valuable to you might not fit the Pure Xbox branding.

BUT - to ensure you don’t find this comment pointless, may I please direct you to some sites that have objectively valuable and worthwhile content? 🙂

Science Daily compiles a variety of worldwide scientific developments. It’s valuable for anyone hoping to keep in touch with the cutting edge advances of mankind.

C-Span offers a relatively unfiltered view into US politics! It’s valuable to anyone living in the US, but in case you find yourself outside of said country, I highly recommend doing some research into finding your nation’s C-Span equivalent.

Re: Review: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - A Mostly Fun Time That Relies Too Much On Past Triumphs

@PsBoxSwitchOwner I get that it's a cash cow, but idk man they've entered into a 10+ year continuity agreement with Sony.

It could be a great move for MS to move some Call of Duty resources/studios away from CoD and into content that can be exclusive to Game Pass (Crash, Tony Hawk, etc). Turn CoD into a 3 year release cycle, have those games be more impactful, give Sony less of that comission money, and put more content exclusively onto MS's platform.

The question is: Does Call of Duty make TOO much money as a yearly release to mess with its release cycle?
