We've got another Game Pass confirmation for April!
It's been announced that Ubisoft and Hooded Horse have teamed up with Xbox to bring Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era to both the Xbox PC app and PC Game Pass on April 30th, which happens to be its early access release date.
This is the latest entry in the Heroes of Might and Magic series, created for "series veterans and newcomers alike". The game's free demo on Steam has a "Mostly Positive" average based on almost 2000 user ratings.
Here's a bit more of what to expect from it:
"This newest entry in the renowned Heroes of Might and Magic series brings strategic empire building, epic turn-based tactical battles, and in-depth RPG mechanics to a world of fantastical beasts, formidable spellcasters, and fierce champions. Explore a vibrant world full of secrets and dangers as you play through an epic narrative campaign that heralds impending doom, or conquer both procedurally generated and hand-crafted maps, building magnificent cities and raising massive armies of mythical creatures to vanquish your foes.
Made for series veterans and newcomers alike, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is built on the familiar foundations of some of the most critically acclaimed strategy games of all time, introducing multiple classic and new game modes whether playing solo or with friends online."
Olden Era's early access status means it will be launching as a "Game Preview" title on the Xbox PC app on April 30th, which just refers to it being a "work in progress title" that "may or may not change over time".
In terms of whether an Xbox console port could be in the works, this was described as "not a priority right now" by a developer last year, and that controller and potentially console support would be considered nearer the full release.
So, look out for this one on the Xbox PC app on April 30th, and we'll leave you with screenshots below:
