Thursday is looking pretty stacked, isn't it? Not only do we have a Dying Light 2 and Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary stream, but now Sonic the Hedgehog is speeding in with his own 30th Anniversary showcase, which is said to feature upcoming projects on May 27.
You can tune in at 9am PT/12pm ET/5pm BST via the Sonic YouTube or Twitch channels. While not much is detailed so far, the show will contain "upcoming projects, partnerships, and events to celebrate Sonic's 30th anniversary."
Sonic rumours have been ramping up over the past few weeks, with two notable examples which have come to light. One suggesting that a remastered version of Sonic Colors could be arriving, while a store listing may have leaked a Sonic collection of games. Two days until we find out for sure what SEGA has planned for Sonic's anniversary.

Nice, Cant wait to see what they've been working on..
I love Sonic and so I want to be excited... but SEGA doesn't love Sonic like I do and continues to hurt me, so this livestream is probably going to be profoundly disappointing.
I'm VERY conflicted.
Excited to see what they unveil!
As a Sonic fan I AM excited I just...REALLY hope Sega has figured out the Blue Blur on this. Bit hit and miss, y'know?
To finally have Sonic 3 & Knuckles on Retro Engine in 16:9 HD would satisfy me. Remasters/remakes of the 3D Sonic games would be very welcome, too. Most of them are SD 30fps.
I've always thought that the worlds of Sonic were nicer and the music better than Mario's. Sonic is a hedgehog saving other animals. I found that very cool when I was a kid, and still do. I don't know about US or Japan but Mega Drive was as popular as SNES in UK & EU.
Mario has Super Mario World, which is one of my favourite games ever and that will never change (recent Mario games are mediocre in comparison) but Sonic is very cool. Tails, too.
Whatever it is, I'm getting it for my series X. I love Sega.
