Microsoft has had some very publicised issues in bringing Xbox Cloud Gaming (also known as Project xCloud) to iOS devices, but according to the team at Xbox, it's "not very far" away at this point.
This was stated in a new Cloud Gaming "official walkthrough" video posted to the Xbox YouTube channel earlier today, where Xbox Cloud Gaming VP of Engineering Kevin Lachapelle gave the following tease along with a wink:
"Oh yes. We've already announced that we're bringing it to iOS and PC early this year. So, I won't give you specific dates, but it's not very far."
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer revealed last year that Microsoft was looking into a browser based solution for Xbox Cloud Gaming on iOS, with Xbox having previously criticised Apple's app store rules as providing a "bad experience."
As for PC, various insiders have already had access to the upcoming Cloud Gaming app for Windows 10 devices, and even Phil Spencer was seemingly spotted using it at an airport recently. It shouldn't be too long now!

Hopefully it is coming soon. I would love to use xCloud on my iPhone.
I'm personally an (proud [I know that it should be "a proud" but idk.]) Android user, but I'm happy that more people can play xCloud!
As a dude with kids, and one glorious morning off a week to get a few hours to myself, getting xcloud on my ipad will be a wonder.
Can’t wait. I’m going to buy a Razer Kishi for my iPhone as soon as a date is announced.
Being able to play on iOS will be a game changer for me.
Even better playing on my MS Surface when away will be HUGE.
Phil Spencer teased playing on his Surface at the airport on the Bethesda trip... the troll!
@themightyant I’m exactly the same! I cannot wait until I am able to play on my surface pro and my iPhone
