Topic: Xbox series x stopped working

@Senua not heard of it. I personally don't think it's the game, just faulty series x. Looks like I'm going to have to wait till after the lockdown on 2nd Dec before anyone going to do anything about it

@NEStalgia I've tried getting a callback from Microsoft to see what they say. I've asked for about 5 callbacks. Only had one come through. Once I said what the problem was, the line went dead. I think that he didn't want to deal with it, so he cut me off

@Longlouie finally got through to Microsoft and getting a repair order sorted.

@HisD1sc1ple I assure you that it's not fake and nothing that I did. It was plugged in, on the floor when I was playing valhalla when it just shut off, and there was nothing I could do to sort it. I've just come off the phone with Microsoft support and they had me do a few things to sort it, even trying to manually get the disc out, but nothing would sort it. So I now have a repair order to send it back to Microsoft to either fix or replace. It's probably going to take 3-4 weeks, if not longer to sort and I just hope that the disc doesn't go missing in the process

@HisD1sc1ple As I've said before, I'm not faking this news. I joined to see if anyone had any ideas about it and to see if I could get any help. I was straight on to Microsoft as soon as I it happened, but due to them time, there is was no one therefore 🤭 could 😣, hence me coming on here. I have got through to Microsoft today, and they have sent me the details and way to return the console. I'm not a playstation fan boy, in fact I always get both consoles, so I'm a fan boy of neither. I like both. So I just pray that my luck with the xbox series x isn't the same when I get the playstation next week.

Also in evidence to me not making it up, one of the things the the Microsoft support representative was trying to help me with is to get the disc out of the console when there is no power. He did come up with the idea of using a pin to push into the remote hole that the xbox one has, to eject it manually. But if you look yourself, you will find that there isn't one one the series x as I told the representative

@Longlouie hopefully they can fix the issue or get you a replacement console. It won't be fast as global stock is low. Sorry to hear that,I can only imagine the disappointed.

Happened to mine aswell ms said its a faulty power supply and my disc was stuck aswell if u need help getting it back give me a shout

@Longlouie if u look at the bottom of the console where the big circle is you will see a tiny hole push a paperclip through the hole and look for the other hole below it and keep pushing it will come out then MS where usless to give advice on how to remove the disc manually found it out myself lol

I did try my xbox one power cable, but that didn't work either. So it's not the power cable. Did you try that?

@Longlouie got to find the second hole tht it goes through aswell its stiff to push it and yea tried different cables MS were as helpful as a chocolate ashtray lol and the shop i bought it from just said send it back and we will refund you thts it so need to find a place to buy when it comes back in stock

@Aldo2710 Yes, the hole was a little tricky. That's why I couldn't sort it the first time. Microsoft didn't say about a refund, but if its going to be a replacement, then I imagine it's going to take more than a month. At least I can play valhalla on my xbox one x now 😁

Glad to hear MS finally registered the issue and is working to resolve it. I'm sure they have a supply of warranty replacement units standing by for these kinds of situations. It's an unfortunate wait, but it sounds like you'll still be back in the game before most people that didn't preorder. I feel for you guys though...that's not the thing you spent months looking forward too...I'll be a bit nervous myself for a while!

@Aldo2710 Did it happen to yours while playing AC: Valhalla as well, or was it a different game? (I.E. does that game seem to be the common denominator, or is it just coincidence from popularity and the consoles are just DOA out of the box, waiting for any game to push them.)
